Hold on to your hat! You Ain't Seen Nothing Like This at the Straz before! The first national tour of 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert the musical', part of the Best of Broadway Tampa Bay series, exploded into Carol Morsani Hall at the Straz Center in Tampa, Tuesday night!

The outrageously funny, Tony Award-Winning Broadway musical PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will celebrate its L.A. Premiere at Hollywood's Pantages Theatre for a limited three-week engagement, May 28 - June 16, 2013.

The School of American Ballet's 2013 Winter Ball: A Night in the Far East at Lincoln Center's David H. Koch Theater on Monday, March 11, 2013 raised more than $1.1 million for scholarships and school programs. Romero Britto, the internationally renowned Brazilian artist, will unveil his portrait of the author of The Racing Heart and philanthropist, Ava Roosevelt, during a private reception on Saturday, December 15th, 2012. The reception, hosted by Mrs. Roosevelt in her Palm Beach residence, will also serve as a 'friend-raiser' for the Education Technology & Performance Foundation (www.ETPFoundation.com), a newly founded charitable trust on which Ava serves as a member of the Advisory Board. Founded in 2012, ETP Foundation advocates the use of effective technology in education, raising funds and increasing philanthropic support for education, technology and performance in schools.

Following a gala evening that featured performances by Bill Irwin and Cornish students, alumni and faculty, President Nancy J. Uscher is pleased to announce the annual event raised more than $500,000 for the Cornish Scholarship Fund. The total includes $105,000 for the Sherry Raisbeck Endowed Scholarship, an endowment created last year by James Raisbeck in honor of his wife, a Cornish graduate and member of the Board of Trustees. Virginia Anderson, Board Chair, announced a $25,000 gift to the College's endowment in honor of Jane Ewing, former Vice President of Institutional Advancement who retired last spring.
