Arizona Theatre Company's (ATC) powerhouse season continues with one of the most celebrated works in American literature, John Steinbeck's OF MICE AND MEN, the emotional and stirring account of migrant workers George and Lennie who dream of settling down on a farm where the land stretches forever and the soft rabbits need tending, March 5-26 at the Temple of Music and Art, 333 S. Arizona Theatre Company celebrates the new year with a great American classic in August Wilson's stunning, Pulitzer-Prize winning play, Fences. A vivid, heartfelt exploration of the African-American experience set in the 1950's, the story remains strikingly relevant today.  Performances begin at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Two of the Valley's favorite and most-celebrated actors will bring their special gifts to the holiday season in limited engagement one-person performances of Charles Dickens' beloved holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, and David Sedaris' hilarious anti-holiday tale, The Santaland Diaries. Produced by Arizona Theatre Company in association with the Herberger Theatre Center, both shows will play in an intimate custom-built 250-seat stage-within-a-stage located in the grandly theatrical setting of Center Stage in downtown Phoenix.

DISGRACED treads into a quicksand from which there is neither recovery, redemption, or revelation. There is only the sound and the fury of a soul adrift in the arid land of self-loathing and his irresistible pull toward tragedy. AZ Theatre Company does standup production but can't relieve play of its shortcomings. As explosive as its onstage fireworks and confessions are ~ and there is definitely no shortage of intensity in this play ~ DISGRACED ultimately falls flat, unsatisfying, and almost objectionable like an expired bromide ~ pop pop fizz fizz but no relief.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC) heads into its 49th season with a bold new look. ATC has launched a redesigned website highlighted by a striking new logo that underscores the company's energy, strength and rich history. The effort was funded by a grant from Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.

Matthew Paul Olmos's the living life of the daughter mira has been named the winner of Arizona Theatre Company's 2015 National Latino Playwriting Award (NLPA), and the recipient of the $1000 prize. 2015 marks the 20th year of the competition.

Single tickets for Arizona Theatre Company's 49th season go on sale in Phoenix beginning June 15.  All shows will be performed at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe.

Arizona Theatre Company has added a seventh show to the 2015-16 season as it presents a very special production from Stray Cat Theatre, one of Arizona's leading indie theatre companies. Sex With Strangers, a recent off-Broadway hit, is a digital-era story about what happens when you let someone in your door who may know more about you than they let on.

Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare's poetic masterpiece of jealousy, prejudice and betrayal, takes on a bold new theatricality under the ambitious and creative hand of award-winning director Kirsten Brandt and scenic, lighting and projection designer David Lee Cuthbert from tonight, March 26 through April 12 at the Herberger Theater Center, 222 E. Monroe.
