Bryce Ryness, Lisa O'Hare to Lead Reprise Theatre Company's CABARET; Opens 9/13

Reprise Theatre Company's production of the classic American musical 'Cabaret,' which opens the 2011-2012 Reprise season and plays September 13 to 25 (press opening September 14, 2011) at UCLA's Freud Playhouse, includes a cast of new talents as well as Broadway and West End veterans - Zach Bandler as Ernst Ludwig, Lisa O'Hare as Sally Bowles, Jeff McLean as Cliff Bradshaw, Katrina Lenk as Fräulein Kost, Mary Gordon Murray as Fräulein Schneider, Robert Picardo as Herr Schultz and Bryce Ryness as the Master of Ceremonies.

Foothill Music Theatre Presents CURTAINS, Closes 8/14

Foothill Music Theatre cracks the case with its summer production of CURTAINS, the hilarious musical whodunit. With music and lyrics by the immortal John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret) and book by Rupert Holmes, CURTAINS was nominated for eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Original Score.

Angela Bassett Set for 92nd Street Y's BROADWAY TALKS Series, 10/23

92nd Street Y has announced that Jordan Roth, President of Jujamcyn Theaters, will continue his popular multi-evening 92nd Street Y conversation series, 'Broadway Talks with Jordan Roth' with Golden Globe Award-winning stage and screen star Angela Bassett. Roth and Bassett will discuss her upcoming role opposite Samuel L. Double MTC News - Cast & Director Set for WE LIVE HERE; Chernus Joins CLOSE UP SPACE

Writers have been personifying the concept of Death for many ages. Geoffrey Chaucer made him a wizened old man who points some riotous characters to three bushels laden with gold in the story told by The Pardoner in THE CANTERBURY TALES. The antithesis of this is the presentation of Death in Maury Yeston's beguiling new musical DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY which is now on stage at the Roundabout's Laura Pels Theatre.

David Hyde Pierce to Perform with Philadelphia Orchestra at Saratoga PAC, 7/29

Tony Award winner David Hyde Pierce will appear with the Philadelphia Orchestra to narrate Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra at Saratoga Performing Arts Center, in Saratoga Springs, NY, on July 29 at 8pm. In addition, the roster of events will include an evening with Grammy winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis, and a full screening of classic film Casablanca with a live orchestral performance of the film's score.

Richard Kline, Howard McGillin Join GSP's IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU; Full Cast Announced!

New Brunswick's George Street Playhouse has just announced the full cast for the premiere of new musical IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU- directed by David Hyde Pierce. Joining previously announced Edward Hibbert, Tyne Daly and Harriet Harris are Richard Kline, Howard McGillin, Tom Deckman, Carla Duren, Jessica Hershberg, Curtis Holbrook, Lisa Howard, Mylinda Hull, Matthew Hydzik and David Josefsberg. The show features a book and lyrics by Brian Hargrove and music by Barbara Anselmi, and will run October 4 through November 6.

George Street Playhouse Features RED, 39 STEPS, et al. in 2011-2012 Season

George Street Playhouse Artistic Director David Saint announced the slate of productions for the fall and winter of the New Brunswick theatre's 2011-2012 season - its 38th. Keeping true to its mission of producing new work, the season will begin with two world premieres - both musicals -followed by a New Jersey premiere of a recent Tony Award-winning play and a recent Broadway comedy in the spring of 2012.

Free to Dream celebrates Colonial Williamsburg with 'New Songs for the American Journey.' It marks a collaboration between The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation and Virginia Arts Festival. RIALTO CHATTER: Joanna Lumley to Star in West End's LION IN WINTER?

According to Whatsonstage.com, stage and screen star Joanna Lumley might return to the West End in the upcoming production of THE LION IN WINTER at Theatre Royal Haymarket. Lumley would play Eleanor of Aquitaine in the 1966 play, which will reportedly be directed by Trevor Nunn.

VENUS IN FUR Starring Nina Arianda to Hit Broadway in November

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer), announced that Manhattan Theatre Club, by special arrangement with Jon B. Platt and Scott Landis, will produce the Broadway premiere of VENUS IN FUR, the play by David Ives directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie featuring Tony Award nominee Nina Arianda reprising her acclaimed breakthrough performance. VENUS IN FUR will begin performances Thursday, October 13 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) in a limited engagement. A November opening night for the production will be announced shortly.
