Based on the television series of the same name, Denzel Washington stars in the new action thriller THE EQUALIZER.

The Toronto International Film Festival just finished up on September 14, 2014. A total of 393 films were scheduled to be shown, including 143 world premieres. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you photos from the red carpet for THE EQUALIZER.

Based on Lawrence Block's bestselling series of mystery novels, A Walk among the Tombstones stars Liam Neeson as Matt Scudder, an ex-NYPD cop who now works as an unlicensed private investigator operating just outside the law. When Scudder reluctantly agrees to help a heroin trafficker (Dan Stevens) hunt down the men who kidnapped and then brutally murdered his wife, the PI learns that this is not the first time these men have committed this sort of twisted crime…nor will it be the last. Blurring the lines between right and wrong, Scudder races to track the deviants through the backstreets of New York City before they kill again.

New York's funniest show Celebrity Autobiography welcomed to the cast stars of stage and screen Tony Danza, Jennifer Coolidge, Sherri Shepherd, David Harbour, Rachel Dratch (Saturday Night Live), Drama Desk-winners Eugene Pack and Dayle Reyfel and comedy legend Alan Zweibel for its June show in NYC on Monday, June 23 at 7pm at Stage 72 (158 West 72nd Street). Breaking new ground with award-winning scripted dramas for the digital age, WIGS announced today that Season Three of BLUE, starring Julia Stiles ('The Bourne Ultimatum') as the title character, will be available in four longer-form episodes, each of which runs between 40-60 minutes, on Hulu (www.hulu.com/blue) and the Hulu Plus subscription service, beginning Friday morning today, March 28. Also available on Hulu and Hulu Plus that day will be a new longer-form episode of WIGS series PALOMA, written and directed by Stiles and starring Grace Gummer ('Margin Call').

Last night, Roundabout Theatre Company honored Sam Mendes with the Jason Roberts Award for Excellence in Theatre. The criterion for this award is to have made an 'indelible impact on the theatre world.' The award was named after the founder of Roundabout and is given each year in remembrance of his own impact on the theatre world.
