The humidity is starting to climb and it's what we call around here -- 'corn weather'. But in the air-conditioned theatres in the Nation's Capital there is a harvest of new shows opening. So if you're here visiting the monuments and the Smithsonian museums, get out of the heat and come see a play or a musical.

I'm reminded of the old joke: It's only funny till someone gets hurt; then it's hilarious. Jacobean audiences liked the stage littered with corpses at the end; we settle for one or two corpses and people's lives shattered. And that this show certainly delivers. There may not be much depth to it, much in the way of a philosophical point, but it's absorbing to see.

Broadway Impact is thrilled to be participating in the NYC AIDS Walk for the first time and has enlisted members of the Broadway community to join forces for the cause. With 76 participants and counting and over $18,000 raised in just a few weeks, Broadway Impact is headed for being one of the top fundraising teams amongst the thousands registered.

According to Nielsen Media Research data, 'Meet the Press with David Gregory' was the top-rated Sunday morning public affairs program for the week ending March 6, 2011. The NBC program attracted 3.463 million total viewers, +26% (+709,000) more than second place CBS' 2.754 million viewers, a +43% advantage (+1,040,000) over third place ABC's 2.423 million viewers, and a +167% (+2,165,000) lead over FOX News Sunday's 1.298 million viewers.
