ICM Adds Theater Agent, Promotes 2 in NY

Veteran theater agent Val Day has joined ICM, according to Deadline. Day previously was at WME, where she represented the estate of Eugene O'Neill as well as playwrights Athol Fugard, Adam Bock, Jordan Harrison, Amy Herzog, Dan LeFranc and Nilaja Sun. She also repped lyricist Chad Beguelin, composer Gabe Kahane, and directors David Cromer, Trip Cullman, Gordon Edelstein, Anne Kauffman, Simon Phillips, Hal Brooks and Mark Rucker.

Multi-award winning Rogue Machine is extending the performance schedule for David Harrower's critically acclaimed play, Blackbird (CRITIC'S CHOICE-LA Times; GO - LA Weekly, CRITIC'S PICK-Backstage, Ovation RECOMMENDED), staged in Los Angeles for the first time. The company's recently extended run of Small Engine Repair (CRITIC'S CHOICE-LA Times; GO - LA Weekly, CRITIC'S PICK-Backstage, Ovation RECOMMENDED) runs through August 27th (moved to the Beverly Hills Playhouse).

Yank!, which played the York Theatre off Broadway in the 2009-2010 season and which has an eye for Broadway will be given a workshop this fall in NYC, backed by the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego. The workshop will run from October 10 through November 10, 2011. According to casting notices, actors for all parts are being sought.
