City Parks Foundation has announced the SummerStage Showcase, a special event taking place at the Highline Ballroom tonight, January 10, 2013. Paul Simon's Graceland Journey: Under African Skies begins with Paul Simon's 2011 emotional journey back to South Africa and the roots of his seminal album Graceland, but it unfolds into a kaleidoscopic portrait of the turbulent birth and ever-shifting life of a work of art. Producer, composer, director, and DJ Sam Spiegel today announced the launch of his new project, Maximum Hedrum and the release date of the group's forthcoming self-titled debut album, due out on March 5th 2013 via Spectrophonic Sound.

Seattle-based songwriter, producer, musician, and composer Jherek Bischoff will headline Seattle's Moore Theatre on December 1st, performing songs from his critically acclaimed album Composed with help from a full orchestra and a slew of just-announced special guest singers: Zola Jesus, Mirah, Zac Pennington (Parenthetical Girls), Soko, Jason Webley and Tomo Nakayama. This is his first Seattle-area headlining show since the release of the album in June.
