The Marian Anderson Award has announced the guest artists for the upcoming Award Gala on April 6, 2010, at the Kimmel Center, honoring comedian and educator Bill Cosby. In announcing the program, Award Chair Pamela A. Crawley noted that 'This year is our 11th Award, and we will be honoring an individual who, like Marian Anderson, was shaped by Philadelphia and then helped shape our culture.

The Golden Satellite Nominations were announced today and the film version of Maury Yeston's 'Nine' received 11 nominations, inclduing Best Motion Picture and Best Director for Rob Marshall. After a brief summer hiatus, Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's in Studio City, CA returns next month for a sizzling series of intimate concerts that promise to make August hotter than ever! Considered to be among the most gifted performers in Los Angeles, Sterling's Upstairs is pleased to welcome Joshua Guerrero, Kara Stephens, Kelly Dodson, Josie Yount and Jon-Paul Burkhart to its stellar roster of over 150 headliners since the club's opening in June, 2006.

The Prince Music Theater will offer a full 2009-2010 season of original productions, Morgans Cabaret, co-productions, plus performances, film festivals, and film programs by resident companies from September of 09 - July 2010. Program details will be announced in the next few weeks.

Bay Street Theatre kicks off the month of July with a bang as the legendary Betty Buckley returns for three performances of a new and critically acclaimed show 'Broadway By Request.' The 4th of July weekend fun begins on Friday, July 3 (Ms. Buckley's birthday concert) at 8pm, with additional shows on Saturday, July 4th at 5pm and 7pm. 'Broadway By Request' features songs and behind the scene stories from Buckley's many Broadway hits as requested by the audience.

David Brenner, stand-up comedian, author, and founder and creator of funnydeli.com is coming to Bay Street. Recognized as a political pundit who can be seen regularly on television news shows, Brenner will find the humor in current events on July 13 at 8:00 p.m. as part of Bay Street Theatre's Monday Night Comedy Club.
