UK Daily Mail reports that BILLY ELLIOT authors Elton John and Lee Hall will be collaborating again on a new musical based on George Orwell's 'Animal Farm.'

Universal Pictures Stage Productions, Working Title Films and Old Vic Productions in association with Weinstein Live Entertainment announced today that David Bologna will return to the cast of BILLY ELLIOT in the role of ‘Michael,' Billy's best friend. Bologna received a 2009 Tony nomination for his performance as ‘Michael.' He is scheduled to begin performances on Wednesday, June 16th and will play his final performance on Sunday, August 8th.

Dozens of boys and girls auditioned this weekend for the chance to be part of the Second National Tour of Billy Elliot which launches at the Durham Performing Arts Center this fall. The auditions took place at the Carolina Dance Center in Raleigh with boys auditioning for the role of Billy on Saturday and girls auditioning for ensemble roles on Sunday.

Billy Elliot on Broadway will play a new performance schedule beginning May 31, 2010: Wednesday - Saturday at 8pm, Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm, Sunday at 2pm and 7:30pm. According to the New York Times, the hit Broadway musical Billy Elliot will be making its way to South Korea by Auguust 2010. The producers of 'Billy Elliot the Musical' said that a Korean-language version of the show, will play in Seoul. Years in the making, the South Korean production includes a cast of local actors including four young Billys.
