Leanne Agmon, Jonathan Fielding, Rose Hemingway & More to Star in The Old Globe's TIME AND THE CONWAYS; Cast Announced

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the Globe's revival of J.B. Priestley's period classic Time and the Conways. Directed by Rebecca Taichman, Time and the Conways will run March 29 - May 4, 2014 on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run March 29 - April 2. Opening night is Thursday, April 3 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheOldGlobe.org, by phone at (619) 23-GLOBE, or by visiting the Box Office at 1363 Old Globe Way in Balboa Park.

Steppenwolf Sets 2014-15 Season: Conor McPherson's THE NIGHT ALIVE, Rory Kinnear's THE HERD & More

Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Martha Lavey announced today the 2014/15 Subscription Season, including a series of premieres; one remaining title will be announced at a later date. The season begins in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre with Conor McPherson's The Night Alive, directed by Henry Wishcamper. Up next, Joe Mantello directs the world premiere of Airline Highway by Lisa D'Amour. In the Upstairs Theatre, Robert O'Hara directs Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi. And in April 2015, ensemble member K. Todd Freeman directs The Herd by Rory Kinnear.

A vision of adolescent America: frostbitten, bloodstained, ravenous.

Soho Rep. announces casting and performance dates for the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's An Octoroon, directed by Soho Rep. Artistic Director Sarah Benson. The production, April 23-May 18, concludes a banner New York season for the celebrated playwright, whose Appropriate makes its New York premiere February 25-April 6 at Signature Theatre.

Audra McDonald to Present Zoe Caldwell with Lifetime Achievement Award at LPTW's 2014 Awards Celebration, 3/10

On Monday, March 10, 2014, the League of Professional Theatre Women (LPTW), a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting visibility and increasing opportunities for women in the professional theatre, is pleased to recognize the talents of six outstanding women: Zoe Caldwell, Judith Dolan, Joanna Sherman, Sondra Gorney, Meiyin Wang and Katherine Kovner. The awards will be presented at the League's 2014 Awards Celebration & Big Mingle Reception to be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 10 at The Irene Diamond Stage (The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street) featuring emcee Tamara Tunie.

Playwright David Adjmi Files Suit to Save Former Off-Broadway Play 3C

Adjmi claims that his work does not infringe on THREE'S COMPANY's copyright, with his lawyers 'citing the First Amendment and the legal doctrine of fair use, argue that '3C' is an original parody that only borrows some elements from the sitcom to examine its premise, character types, and homophobia and sexism in that era.' The compaint includes support from Tony Kushner, Stephen Sondheim and others.
