The National YoungArts Foundation (YoungArts) congratulates the 50th class of U.S. Presidential Scholars, announced today by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. The 20 Scholars in the Arts, all 2014 YoungArts Winners, were nominated to The White House Commission on Presidential Scholars by YoungArts, and selected based on academic, civic and artistic achievement. The award, presented on behalf of the President of the United States, is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon an artistically talented graduating high school senior. Each year, up to 141 high school seniors are recognized as U.S. Presidential Scholars for their accomplishments.

She will be debuting several of her new songs at the June concerts and Sasha will also begin a monthly engagement at The Standard in September, The Sunset Series.

A May Sky Picture has announced the workshop production of Schuyler Iona Press' WHAT I'M FAILING TO LEARN, choreography by Joel Hanna, music arranged by Jeb Patton, co-directed by Darren Press, written and directed by C. Fraser Press. WHAT I'M FAILING TO LEARN will play a limited engagement at Off-Broadway's 13th Street Rep (50 West 13th Street, NYC). Performances begin tonight, May 15 and continue through Saturday, June 15. Opening Night is Wednesday, May 29 (7 p.m.).

Award-winning Brazilian illustrator Maria Eugênia completely captures the shy heart and soul of Rosler's song with her magical illustrations and animation. 'Where Do I Come In?' is performed by Spottiswoode and features a formidable group of musicians: Dave Eggar (cello), Terry Radigan (background vocals, guitar & piano), Joshua Camp (accordion, piano and Mellotron), Bj Karpen (oboe), Jim McNamara (bass), Chris Michaels (drums).
