Peter Pan has had quite a life. Since his conception by J. M. Barrie, the boy who refused to grow up has been associated with books, plays, films, costumes, art work, a television series, and music, as well as having his name given to a race horse, a food product, a bus line, an emergency health rescue service, a psychological syndrome, and a rock band.

As part of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival, the Friars Club, the New York Comedy Festival and Producer Rick Newman will present a Comedy Writers Round Table III on Wednesday, November 3rd at 8:30pm at The Friars Club (57 E. 55th St.).

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER (a comedy with music), opens October 21 and runs until November 12 at the Belrose Theater with performances on Friday and Saturdays at 8pm and matinees most Saturdays at 2pm. Peter and the Starcatcher is based on the bestselling children's book by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. This Tony Award-winning show by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker, is now showing at the Growing Stage Theater in Netcong through 10/23.

Broadwayworld.com interviewed Josh Carpenter who will play Black Stache in The Growing Stage production of 'Peter and the Starcatcher.' Directed by Stephen L. Fredericks with musical direction by Stephen Fox and choreography by Jillian Petrie, the show will be on the Netcong stage from through 10/23.

ONSTAGE in Bedford Artistic Director Michael B. Winters announced tonight via Facebook the theater's 32nd season, which will be performed at the Trinity Arts Theater in the historic Bedford Boys Ranch. The new season will begin in January, 2017, with a mix of classic plays and newer works, including a regional premiere and three area premiere productions, as well as a new program the theater is calling 'SpotON',  a spotlight series featuring new works, staged readings and more.

The Growing Stage, The Children's Theatre of New Jersey, located in the Historic Palace Theatre on Route 183 in Netcong opens its 35th Anniversary Main Stage season with PETER AND THE STARCATCHER.  The show runs October 7th through the 23rd with performances Today evenings at 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 4:00 PM.  

In keeping with their mandate to nurture and support the next generation of theatre artists, Entr'Acte Theatrix and The Peter Halmos Foundation will collaborate with a brand new company - Theatre of Collaborative Arts - to present the award-winning musical play Peter and the Starcatcher.  The production will run from October 6 - 16 at the William G. Skaff Center in West Palm Beach.

Cape Rep Theatre will soon present the Cape Cod premiere of Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, with music by Wayne Barker, November 3 through December 4: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm, with an additional 2 pm matinee on Saturday, November 26. There are no performances on November 6, 9, 23 or 24.  Tickets are $35.  Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, November 4. Ann Arbor's Penny Seats Theatre Company is set to open its seventh season this year, with four shows, the largest season the company has ever attempted.  Through an operational support grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts, the company has expanded its offerings and will have a year-round presence.

Berkeley Playhouse opens up their 9th season at the historic Julia Morgan theater with Peter and the Starcatcher, the Tony Award-winning prequel to Peter Pan. Based on the acclaimed 2006 novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the thrilling stage adaptation by Rick Elice, whose Broadway credits include The Addams Family and Jersey Boys, takes flight September 22, 2016 with performances running through October 16, 2016.
