Theatre Baton Rouge invites you to take a nostalgic trip to Neverland in their current production of PETER & THE STARCATCHER, a prequel to the timeless J. M. Barrie story of Peter Pan, featuring the incorrigible boy who can fly but never wants to grow up.
Peter Pan has had quite a life. Since his conception by J. M. Barrie, the boy who refused to grow up has been associated with books, plays, films, costumes, art work, a television series, and music, as well as having his name given to a race horse, a food product, a bus line, an emergency health rescue service, a psychological syndrome, and a rock band.
As part of the upcoming New York Comedy Festival, the Friars Club, the New York Comedy Festival and Producer Rick Newman will present a Comedy Writers Round Table III on Wednesday, November 3rd at 8:30pm at The Friars Club (57 E. 55th St.).
PETER AND THE STARCATCHER (a comedy with music), opens October 21 and runs until November 12 at the Belrose Theater with performances on Friday and Saturdays at 8pm and matinees most Saturdays at 2pm. ONSTAGE in Bedford Artistic Director Michael B. Winters announced tonight via Facebook the theater's 32nd season, which will be performed at the Trinity Arts Theater in the historic Bedford Boys Ranch. The new season will begin in January, 2017, with a mix of classic plays and newer works, including a regional premiere and three area premiere productions, as well as a new program the theater is calling 'SpotON', a spotlight series featuring new works, staged readings and more.
