RAW SILL PRODUCTIONS presents their inaugural production of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER

Limited Engagement Opens Friday, October 14th at The Whitmore-Lindley Theater Center in North Hollywood October 5, 2016...North Hollywood, CA...Raw Sill Productions Artistic Director Pablo Rossil is thrilled to announce the inaugural production of his new Los Angeles-based Production Company dedicated to discovering and exploring epic plays and musicals in intimate theatrical spaces, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER, written by Rick Elice and directed by Benjamin Schrader and Pablo Rossil.

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER will begin performances on Friday, October 14 and will run through Sunday, October 30, 2016 at The Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center, 11006 W. Magnolia Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 91601.

Multiple Tony-Award winning PETER AND THE STARCATCHER upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be The Boy Who Would Not Grow Up (a.k.a. Peter Pan). From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER playfully explores the depths of greed and despair and the bonds of friendship, duty and love. Featuring a dozen actors portraying more than 100 unforgettable character, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER uses ingenious stagecraft and limitless possibilities of imagination to bring this story to life.

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM AND CAST

Rick Elice (Playwright) earned his BA from Cornell University, his MFA from the Yale Drama School and is a Teaching Fellow at Harvard. He was the salutatorian graduate of Francis Lewis High School in Queens, New York (class of 1973) and is a charter member of The American Repertory Theatre. With Marshall Brickman, Elice wrote the book for the Broadway musical Jersey Boys which received a Tony Award nomination and a Drama Desk nomination for best book for a musical in 2006. With his husband, actor/director Roger Rees, he wrote the popular thriller, Double Double, which has been translated into 16 languages. He wrote Leonardo's Ring (London Fringe, 2003) and Dog and Pony (New York Stage and Film, 2003). Elice was creative director at Serino Coyne, Inc. (1982-2000), where he produced advertising campaigns for more than 300 Broadway shows, including A Chorus Line and The Lion King. He has been a creative consultant for Walt Disney Studios since 2000. In 2008, he co-wrote Turn of the Century with Marshall Brickman which premiered at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago in September 2008. Elice collaborated with Brickman once again, writing the book for the musical, The Addams Family. Following a successful run at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts Oriental Theatre in Chicago, The Addams Family opened on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth as Gomez and Morticia Addams.

PABLO ROSSIL (Artistic Director) Born and raised in an artistic family in Los Angeles, California, Pablo found performing at a very young age. Always having been involved in some sort of after school activity, he was exposed to various forms of it. When he finally chose trumpet performance as his major in college, he quickly re-routed after a trip to New York. His new-found appreciation for Musical Theatre brought him to AMDA LA, where he garnered a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance. Since graduating, he's performed in dozens of shows around Southern California, and has most recently started Raw Sill Productions to further collaborate in the live arts world.

Benjamin Schrader (Co-Director/Black Stache) An original cast member of the Broadway smash "The Book of Mormon" (Elder White). His other Broadway credits include "Avenue Q", "RAGTIME", "Peter and the Starcatcher", and Deaf West's "Big River". Benjamin was also a member of the developmental cast of the Pulitzer Winning drama "Next to Normal". TV/Film: HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE, REVENGE on ABC, the Walt Disney animated film FROZEN and Penn and Teller's upcoming film DIRECTORS CUT. Ben moonlights as director for magicians at the world famous Magic Castle in LA.

Per the mission statement of Raw Sill Productions, the cast of PETER AND THE STARCATCHER features an eclectic mix of seasoned professional and newcomers: Nikk Alcaraz as Grempkin, Scott Barnhardt* (The Book of Mormon, Deaf West's Big River) as Mrs. Bumbrake/Teacher, Darren Bluestone* (Avenue Q) as Lord Aster, Damon Gravina* (The Big Lebowski - Rockwell Table & Stage) as Prentiss, Marc Leclerc as Smee, Monica Ricketts as Molly, Dan Sanders-Joyce* (Disney's Gamers Guide to Pretty Much Everything) as Slank, Benjamin Schrader* as Black Stache, Nick Slimmer as Boy, Jordan Stidham (PCPA) as Alf, Sam Uehling as Ted, Mike Walker (Captain Scott).

PETER AND THE STARCATCHER will begin performances on October 14, 2016 and will run through Sunday, October 30, 2016 at The WHITMORE LINDLEY THEATRE CENTER 11006 W Magnolia Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601.

Performances will be Friday (8pm), Saturday (8pm), and Sunday (2pm & 7pm).
