Philly's Broadway dreams will come true for the third consecutive summer when the Broadway Dreams Foundation (BDF) partners with the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts to present their summer performing arts intensive August 1 through Sunday August 7. Acclaimed theatrical producer and director Richard Jay-Alexander and a roster of Broadway veterans will work with aspiring young performers from the Philadelphia area throughout the week in preparation for 'True Colors', a one of a kind Broadway concert open to the public. The one night only concert event will take place at the Merriam Theatre on Saturday August 6 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $71-$18 and are available now online at www.kimmelcenter.org, by calling 215-893-1999, or visiting the Kimmel Center box office.

Mark Indelicato, Philadelphia native and star of the smash hit ABC Television series 'Ugly Betty,' returned to his hometown when he joined the faculty of THE BROADWAY DREAMS FOUNDATION'S (BDF) Summer Performing Arts Intensive Program. The 15 year old actor, who is best known as fashion-obsessed Justin Suarez on the Emmy nominated series, spent the day at the program participating in a Q&A session and performing alongside the students in the final concert. This Intensive will bring Broadway stars Eden Espinosa, Billy Porter, Paul Canaan, Blake Daniel, Lilli Cooper, Carlos Encinias and Dave Barrus, songwriter Jeremy Schonfeld, along with Broadway casting directors Craig Burns and Rachel Hoffman, to the Kimmel Center for a week-long intensive where students will develop their skills (voice, acting and dance), perform with their idols in a revue style show, and audition before the casting directors.
