Bursting with the sounds of R&B and gospel, Best of Both Worlds features book and lyrics by Randy Weiner, music by multiple Obie-winner Diedre Murray, and is directed by Tony Award winner Diane Paulus.

Le Petit Theatre will present Irving Berlin's beloved family musical 'White Christmas,' from December 4 - 20. New Orleans' newest holiday experience will include not-to-be-missed decorations and visits from Santa at every matinee. And, just in case New Orleans gets a warm December, there's a guarantee of snow inside the theatre.

There are several reasons I'm looking forward to this week's Encores! concert performance of Charles Strouse (music), Lee Adams (lyrics) and Betty Comden and Adolph Green's (book) 1970 musical version of All About Eve, retiled Applause, this weekend.  Like hearing those mod Broadway rock orchestrations by the great Philip J. Lang played by a full assemblage of musicians.  And seeing that crazy segment of the title tune when the cast does a series of parodies of Fiddler On The Roof, Funny Girl, Hello, Dolly! and other classic musicals, including a challenge dance between Oklahoma! and Oh! Calcutta!  And, of course, to see the wonderful Christine Ebersole in her first major role since nabbing the Tony for Grey Gardens.

THE GOLDFISH TWINS SWIM THE BIG BLUE SEA! has announced an updated performance schedule. The show will hold performances at St. Luke's Theatre on Saturdays at 11:30 am through November 21, and at the Actors Temple Theatre on Sundays at 12 noon through January 31, 2010.

The second annual Canwest Cabaret Festival brings together over 150 of Canada's most diverse and exciting artists under the same roof for more than 60 unique performances. Every corner of the Young Centre is teeming with activity all weekend long.

Eric Rosen, artistic director of Kansas City Repertory Theatre, opens the Rep's 2009-10 season with the Tony Award-winning musical Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim. Broadway director Moisés Kaufman will direct.
