Reading of Indigo Girls Musical, The Language or The Kiss, presented September 20, 21

The Language or The Kiss, a new musical that features music from the extensive catalogue of the Grammy Award winning Folk/Rock duo The Indigo Girls, gets a private industry reading September 20th and 21st at Off-Broadway's St. Luke's Theatre.

The musical is an original story by up-and-coming Playwright/Music Director/Actor David Fiorello, who has also provided the arrangements, and conceived the piece. The story is a beautiful tale of love, music, choices and consequence, all punctuated by the ever-plaguing duality of the choice; The commitment to creating art, or the commitment to creating love.

Thom Brown, III serves as director for the reading.

The reading cast of The Language or The Kiss features Fiorello, Justis Bolding (Broadway's The Woman in White, TV's One Life to Live), Jen Sese (NYMF's The Cure), singer/songwriter Scott Ross, Julia Cook (Cinderella tour with Lea Salonga), Lindsie VanWinkle (Pinkalicious!) Katie Sina (past NYMF show I Come For Love), and singer/songwriters Amber Ward and Meg Cavenaugh. Also featured are Katy Vaughn and Laura Walling.

The Indigo Girls have sold more than 7 million albums worldwide, including their most recent, Poseidon and the Bitter Bug. Some of their major songs include "Galileo", "Closer to Fine", "Least Complicated", and "Ghost".

Fiorello currently serves as Music Director for the Off-Broadway hit Danny and Sylvia: The Danny Kaye Musical, and previous to that, served as Music Director for the most recent tour of John Doyle's restaging of Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
