2014 SOUND BITES Musical Finalists Announced

Theatre Now New York has announced the ten musicals that will be featured in the 2nd Annual SOUND BITES 10-Minute Musical Theatre Festival to be performed on December 8, 2014 at 7:00PM at the 47th Street Theatre in Manhattan. Tickets go on sale to the public October 27 at www.tnny.com and 855-254-SHOW [7469] and start at just $25.

Winners Announced of SOUND BITES Festival

Winners announced of SOUND BITES festival of 10-minute musicals which was held this past Monday evening at The 47th Street Theatre in New York City and produced by Theatre Now New York. Over 50 entries were received during the submission period. A panel of 12 adjudicators selected the top 10 finalists, which were performed to an appreciative sell-out crowd.

Application Submission Deadline for Stamford Center for the Arts' Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Set for 2/25

For the 4th consecutive year, Stamford Center for the Arts will be awarding its Emerging Young Artist Scholarship Award to a talented vocalist, in honor of Liza Minnelli. The deadline to submit the completed audition form, resume and CD is February 25th. The recipient of this award will receive a $2,000 scholarship to pursue his/her musical education and will receive the award at the 4th annual Palace Theatre Gala on June 21st. The criteria and audition process for the scholarship is outlined on SCA's website at www.SCAlive.org on the Education page.

Danielle Trzcinski hails from Tampa Florida and is a proud FSU and AMDA grad. "Top 25? in NBC's Last Comic Standing NY, as well as top 5 females in NBC's Stand Up for Diversity. Danielle was recently seen as Wendy in FringeNYC's production of 'Non-Equity the Musical!' Tours: Nikelodeon's "Storytime Live!" and "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing." This showcase and variety show will feature singer/songwriter Matt Hurd, singer/songwriter Paige Nichols, singer Maria Noe, and standup comic and singer Danielle Trzcinski. Comedian / actor Robert Brehm will be the special guest host. Producer Michael Martinez has previously presented showcases at Don't Tell Mama and several other New York City clubs. These showcases highlight emerging stars in comedy, music, and musical theater. Showtime is 7:00 pm, door opens at 6:30pm. Admission is $15.00, plus a two drink minimum.
