Experience a story of sinister betrayal, unfulfilled prophecies and a good dose of love twisted together in this operatic fairytale, featuring the characters you know - Rumpelstiltskin, Hansel & Gretel and The Evil Queen - in a way you've never seen them, accompanied by with the music of Lawrence & Fain, Schubert and Humperdinck, among many others.

Up-and-Coming Playwright Phillip Howze Awarded Prestigious Residency With Lincoln Center Theatre's New Writers Program

Contemporary playwright Phillip Howze uses the age old medium of storytelling to hold a magnifying glass up to our current culture. It's this astute talent that earned the emerging playwright a spot in the prestigious New Writers residency with New York City's Lincoln Center Theatre. It was announced early last week that Howze will be one of only eight in the inaugural group of resident artists for the program. This marks his second fellowship with the famed theatre, as previously he was a 2015-16 Lincoln Center Education Artist Fellow.
Central Florida Community Arts' GUYS AND DOLLS Begins Next Week

Central Florida Community Arts presents their 5th annual Summer Broadway Season production, Guys and Dolls, September 10 & 11, 2015. Based on the stories and characters of Damon Runyon, with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, this concert-style production of Guys and Dolls is directed by Rob Lott, with music direction by Jacob Haines, assistant direction by Ashley Willsey, choreography by Katherine Rivera, and is produced by Joshua Vickery through CFCArts.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Hanes partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to promote early detection of breast cancer through the new 'mammogram monologues' program. The monologues program invites women to share their candid mammogram stories in an effort to help raise the comfort level surrounding the mammogram experience.

Ejay Yatco, Musical Theater Arranger, Makes It To World Championship Final

Ejay Yatco, 22-year-old musical theater arranger, composer and pianist from the Philippines, whose recent works for American musicals 'Little Shop of Horrors' and 'Edges' and Filipino rock musical 'Sa Wakas' received critical acclaim, has made it to the 17th annual World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) final, where he is set to compete with two other adult instrumentalists: Jonathan Saw, an electronic violinist from Singapore and Stepan Mezencev, a classical violinist from Russia. The winner will be declared Instrumentalist of the World.
Bellevue Little Theatre Opens LEAVING IOWA, 5/31

Bellevue Little Theatre, 203 W. Mission in Bellevue will present the family comedy, 'Leaving Iowa', the last production of the season, on May 31, June 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, and 14, 15, 16. The production begins at 8 pm on Fri. and Sat. evenings and at 2 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for Seniors, and $9 for students with proper ID. Reservations are recommended and may be made by calling 402-291-1554 between the hours of 10 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Saturday.

Baritone Andre Solomon-Glover is remembered by many as the strikingly handsome, charismatic lead in Hal Prince's Broadway revival of Showboat. Others may remember his exciting international career - singing with Leipzig Gewandhaus and Philadelphia Orchestras, or making solo appearances at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Others may remember his generous community service in local performances.
