Page 73 Productions - the Off-Broadway company dedicated to producing and developing works by early-career playwrights - will present a reading of their 2013 Interstate 73 member Kait Kerrigan's play IMAGINARY LOVE tonight, September 23 at 6 pm at Dodger Atelier (311 West 43rd St, 6th Floor). Daniel Goldstein (GODSPELL, GOD OF CARNAGE) will direct.

This week at Joe's Pub at the Public, Sept. 9-15, includes performances by MIKE DAISEY, MICHAEL MITNICK, VALLELY BROTHERS, WAU WAU SISTERS, LIFE IN A BLENDER, LORA FAYE, BROWN GIRLS BURLESQUE, and NY THEREMIN SOCIETY.

Songwriter and Playwright Michael Mitnick (Fly By Night, Animal House) comes to Joe's Pub at The Public for a one-night concert of his songs on September 9th at 9:30 PM. Described as 'his first public concert in 30 years,' Mitnick will be joined by a four-piece band and an ensemble of Broadway performers including Santino Fontana (Billy Elliot, Cinderella), Adam Riegler (Addams Family), Will Connolly (Once), Austin Durant (War Horse), Peter Friedman (Ragtime), Jessica Grove (A Little Night Music) and more. Directed by Daniel Goldstein, Music Directed by Alvin Hough, including some songs written with Will Connolly, Kim Rosenstock, Simon Rich, and Massive Attack.

Single tickets to the remaining six productions of the Huntington Theatre Company's 2013-2014 Season will go on sale to the general public at midnight on Tuesday, August 6. Single tickets to The Jungle Book, which was recently extended due to popular demand through October 13, 2013, are on sale now. The upcoming season from the recipient of the 2013 Regional Theatre Tony Award and Best of Boston 2013 winner features the return of many celebrated artists who are beloved by Boston audiences.

Additional performers have been announced for 'Broadway Stands Up for Freedom,' the annual benefit concert of the New York Civil Liberties Union (the state affiliate of the ACLU), which will be presented Monday, July 22 at 7:30pm at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts, 566 LaGuardia Place at Washington Square South, New York City .

Prospect Theater Company will present the world premiere production of TAMAR OF THE RIVER, a new music theater work with music and book by Marisa Michelson and book and lyrics by Joshua H. Cohen. Directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell) and choreographed by Yin Mei, TAMAR OF THE RIVER will be the first production available through Prospect's new Membership Program.

Newly announced for the evening are Charl Brown (Tony nomination, Motown The Musical); Lauren Molina (Rock of Ages, Sweeney Todd); and Andrew Lippa, Tony- and Grammy-nominated composer and librettist of The Addams Family, The Wild Party, and Big Fish, opening on Broadway in October.

New additions include Georgi James, starring on Broadway in Annie; 30 Rock's Todd Buonopane; Rory O'Malley, opening soon in Nobody Loves You at Second Stage; Shaina Taub, featured in the new musical Natasha & Pierre & The Great Comet of 1912; and Godspell alum Grace Capeless.

The theater season hardly takes a break in Connecticut during the summer and we have some great shows coming up.

Dolly looks swell as ever as Goodspeed Musicals brings everyone's favorite meddlesome matchmaker to its main stage. Hello, Dolly! will run from June 28 - September 8 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. Official Press Opening will be July 17, 2013.Leading the cast in the role of Dolly Levi will be cabaret diva Klea Blackhurst. Ms. Blackhurst is best known for her award-winning tribute to Ethel Merman, Everything the Traffic Will Allow, which she has performed in venues across the U.S. and in London. She was most recently seen in Happy Huntingat The York Theatre. She also created the role of Miss Lemon in the new musical The Nutty Professor, which premiered this past summer in Nashville.
