This week's THEATER TALK focuses on the Broadway play A Time to Kill, featuring its lead actors Sebastian Arcelus, John Douglas Thompson and Patrick Page plus writer Rupert Holmes, who has adapted the John Grisham novel for the stage. Holmes talks about finding a way to translate the novel to theatre, and the actors discuss the challenges of interpreting the gripping courtroom drama. The Phoenix, the New Theatre Company founded by long-time PICT artistic director and founder Andrew Paul and Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre founder and former director of theatre initiatives at the August Wilson Center, Mark Clayton Southers, will debut with a four week run of Joe Penhall's provocative, caustically funny, Olivier Award-winning play Blue/Orange. The production will star acclaimed actors David Whalen, Sam Tsoutsouvas, and newcomer Rico Parker, with direction by Andrew Paul and scenic design by Mark Clayton Southers. Blue/Orange, sponsored by founding Phoenix Board Member and noted arts philanthropist Richard E. Rauh, plays tonight, November 1-23, 2013 at the Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre, 937 Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.

The Golden Icon Award of this year's Zurich Film Festival goes to Hugh Jackman. The ceremony will take place tonight, September 28th at the cinema corso 1. In addition to receiving ZFF's Golden Icon Award, Jackman will present his latest film, the intense thriller PRISONERS, directed by Denis Villeneuve and co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal, which has been selected to screen in the Gala Premieres section of the Festival. Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) continues its 2013-2014 theatre season with the Milwaukee premiere of THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE by Keith Huff, September 18 - October 13, 2013. In addition to numerous plays, Keith Huff has written for the television series "House of Cards" and "Mad Men." This one-woman show features Milwaukee favorite Mary MacDonald Kerr who was last seen at MCT in THE SWEETEST SWING IN BASEBALL. The show is also a production collaboration with the UW-Milwaukee Theatre Department. UWM professor Jim Tasse will direct and the production team members are UWM faculty and students. THE DETECTIVE'S WIFE performs in the Broadway Theatre Center's Studio Theatre in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.
