An Evening with Andrea Bocelli and the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Asher Fisch, will take place at Carnegie Hall, Tuesday, September 8, Wednesday, September 9, and Friday, September 11, 2009, all at 8:00 p.m. The three acoustic performances of classical repertoire by the Italian tenor - who is making his Carnegie Hall debut -will feature opera arias as well as instrumental works performed by the Orchestra. The concerts will be presented by Princeton Entertainment and the New York Philharmonic.

Kaufman Center and New York Festival of Song (NYFOS, www.nyfos.org), will present Voices of the Jewish Diaspora on Tuesday and Thursday, February 10 and 12, at 8 PM at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center. It is the third subscription program this season for the New York Festival of Song, whose 2008 CD Spanish Love Songs, featuring Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, Joseph Kaiser, Steven Blier and Michael Barrett (Bridge Records) was named one of the 'Best Of the Year' by Opera News. The program features songs in many languages celebrating the culturally diverse Jewish communities that flourished as the tribes of Israel spread out across the globe: Sephardic melodies arranged by Roberto Sierra; Second Avenue specialties by Irving Berlin and Abraham Ellstein; art songs by Ravel and Mahler; plus music by Gershwin, Bernstein, and Harold Rome.

Academy Award winner Andrews is following in the host-footsteps of Walter Cronkite. Cronkite hosted the Annual New Year's Day concert for over two decades.
Linda Watson Sings Isolde In MET'S TRISTAN UND ISOLDE

Linda Watson will sing the role of Isolde in Wagner's Tristan und Isolde on December 20, replacing Katarina Dalayman, who is ill. Ms. Watson first sang Isolde in 1998 at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein (D?sseldorf), and has since performed the role in Prague, Florence, Bern, Tokyo, Munich, Amsterdam, and Los Angeles. She is also a noted Br?nnhilde in Wagner's cycle, Der Ring des Nibelungen, which she has performed at the Bayreuth Festival for the last three summers, from 2006 to 2008. Watson made her Met debut as Kundry in Wagner's Parsifal in April, 2003.

Michael Brenner for BB Promotion GmbH and Paul Szilard Productions, Inc. under the patronage of Daniel Barenboim a production of Diego Romay are presenting the international hit muscial. 'Tanguera' The Tango Musical has a book by Diego Romay & Dolores Espeja; and lyrics by Eladia Blazques. The musical direction and arrangements are by Gerardo Gardelin and the tango arrangements are by Lisandro Adrover. Set design is by Valeria Ambrosio, with costume design by Cecilia Monti and lighting design by Ariel Del Mastro. The choreographer is Mora Godoy and the director is Omar Pacheco. Waltraud Meier will sing the role of Isolde in Wagner's Tristan und Isolde on December 12, replacing Katarina Dalayman, who is ill. Ms. Meier is a renowned Isolde who has frequently sung the role with Daniel Barenboim, the conductor for the Met performances. This will be her first performance of Isolde at the Met. She is arriving this evening from Munich.

Gary Lehman will sing the role of Tristan in Wagner's Tristan und Isolde this evening, replacing Peter Seiffert, who is ill.
Lehman sang two performances of Tristan at the Met last season. Seiffert is still scheduled for performances on December 6 matinee, 12, 16, and 20. Daniel Barenboim conducts, and Katarina Dalayman sings the role of Isolde as scheduled.
