DWTS Champ Kym Johnson Joins BURN THE FLOOR this Week, 11/27

The producers of Broadway's dance sensation, BURN THE FLOOR, announced today that Dancing with the Stars' pro Kym Johnson will close out her banner Thanksgiving week by making her Broadway debut in BURN THE FLOOR, at The Longacre Theatre. Earlier this week, she took home the mirror ball trophy with Donny Osmond on the hit dance competition series. Her first performance will be Friday November 27 at 2 PM. She will be partnered with DWTS' Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who made his Broadway debut in the show this summer.

BURN THE FLOOR Gets Final Extension Thru 2/14; Features Guest Stars Mary Murphy, Edyta Sliwinska & Alec Mazo

The producers of Broadway's dance sensation, BURN THE FLOOR, announced today that three new guest stars will join the company for the show's final extension on Broadway prior to an Australian, Asian and U.S. tour. On January 12, Mary Murphy of 'So You Think You Can Dance,' and Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo of 'Dancing with the Stars' will become part of BURN THE FLOOR's electrifying cast. The Broadway engagement will close on February 14, 2010. The show opens in Melbourne Australia the following week. Cities and dates for the U.S. tour will be announced shortly.

'SYTYCD's' Mary Murphy Makes Broadway Debut in BURN THE FLOOR One Night Only, 12/22

The producers of Broadway's hottest hit announced today that Mary Murphy of FOX's 'So You Think You Can Dance' will make her Broadway debut for one night only on Tuesday, December 22nd at 7 PM, when she 'quicksteps' into the BURN THE FLOOR company at the Longacre Theatre. She will join the dance juggernaut that has taken Broadway by storm, breaking box office records and extending its limited engagement. The show, originally announced for a 12 week engagement, has been extended through January 3 2010. Mary Murphy will be partnered with ballroom champion Vaidas Skimelis.

BURN THE FLOOR is notable for two reasons: It was the first show of the new Broadway season when it opened this summer, and it's still 'heating up' the town. Broadway's BURN THE FLOOR Extends Through January 3, 2010

The producers of BURN THE FLOOR, announced today that that the show will extend through January 3, 2010. The Latin and ballroom spectacular had originally announced a limited 12-week run. The first new show of the Broadway season, BURN THE FLOOR broke the box office record at the Longacre Theatre two weeks running. Anya Garnis and Pasha Kovalev of Fox's 'So You Think You Can Dance' joined the company on August 18.

This will mark the Broadway debut for both. BURN THE FLOOR, Broadway's sexy new hit, has broken office records at the Longacre for two consecutive weeks.

BURN THE FLOOR Sets Second Longacre Theatre House Record

BURN THE FLOOR beat the Longacre Theatre house record for the second week in a row, with a gross of $665.008.50, besting last week's gross of $540,180. Last week's gross had broken the previous record held by Boeing-Boeing .
