This Christmas, Theatre Royal Bath's the egg theatre and Pins & Needles Productions present a new adaptation of Baroness Orczy's The Scarlet Pimpernel in a comedic romp reuniting the award-winning production team behind last year's critically acclaimed production of Little Mermaid. Recently named winners of the UK Theatre Award for Best Show for Children and Young People, they will present this new production at the egg from 6 December to 13 January 2019, with opening night for press on 12 December 2018.

Devised by the Companies, based on the works of JM Barrie Previews from 16 November, Press Night 23 November, final performance 4 February.  Sophie Thompson has had to withdraw from the cast of Peter Pan, the National Theatre's Christmas show, due to a broken wrist. Anna Francolini, last seen at the NT in wonder.land, will take over the role of Captain Hook/ Mrs Darling. The NT is delighted that Anna was available to step into the role, and wishes Sophie a speedy recovery.

The Guthrie Theater continues its 2012-13 season with the British company Propeller's all-male, modern and physical productions of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and The Taming of the Shrew, directed by Propeller artistic director Edward Hall. The two plays, performed in repertory (audiences can choose either show, or both on two different nights), come to the Guthrie as part of Propeller's international tour running through August 2013. Twelfth Night and The Taming of the Shrew begin performances at the Guthrie on February 27, and continue through April 6, 2013. Peter Pan will return home for the first time in over 100 years when a new production of JM Barrie's 'PETER PAN', written by Tanya Ronder, will be performed this summer in a specially designed tent in Kensington Gardens. As JM Barrie wrote in 'Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens', 'Standing on the ledge he could see trees far away, which were doubtless the Kensington Gardens, and the moment he saw them he entirely forgot that he was now a little boy in a nightgown, and away he flew, right over the houses into the Gardens.'
