Set in an American town, GRACEPOINT is the American version of the U.K.'s most-watched new drama of the year, 'Broadchurch.' The gripping crime series follows the tragic and mysterious death of a young boy found dead on an idyllic beach surrounded by rocks and a jutting cliff-face, from where he may have fallen. Although the cause of his death remains unsolved, the picturesque seaside town where the tragedy occurred is at the heart of a major police investigation and a nationwide media frenzy.

Columbia Lands US Rights To Bennett Miller’s FOXCATCHER

Columbia Pictures has picked up the United States distribution rights to Bennett Miller's FOXCATCHER from Annapurna Pictures. In addition to the U.S. distribution rights, Columbia Pictures also joins the film as a co-financer. The deal reunites Miller with Columbia, having previously collaborated with the studio on last fall's release of the Academy Award®-nominated picture, MONEYBALL. Panorama Media is commencing International sales of the film at the upcoming American Film Market.

Deadline.com reports that Roger Bart and Dan Futterman will appear in recurring roles on the upcoming USA network 6-episode drama series POLITICAL ANIMALS. The Washington DC-based series is written by Greg Berlanti and co-stars Sigourney Weaver and Carla Gugino.

Fountain House, an internationally recognized organization dedicated to improving the lives of people living with mental illness, last night hosted a staged reading of Daughter of the Queen of Sheba, headlining celebrated actresses Joan Allen and Lauren Ambrose, with appearances by noted actor and screenwriter Dan Futterman and theatre, film and television actor David AaRon Baker. The one-night-only performance, based upon the acclaimed memoir by NPR'sJacki Lyden that recounts her experience growing up with a colorful and dramatic mother living with manic depression, drew a full house to the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College, located at 68th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues in New York City. Lyden served as Narrator of the performance, which employed slides to illustrate the action. The evening benefitted Fountain House, with support from NPR. Check out a photo from the event below!

He will join previously announced headliners Joan Allen, Lauren Ambrose and Dan Futterman for the one-night-only performance based upon the acclaimed memoir by Jacki Lyden that recounts her experience growing up with a colorful and dramatic mother living with manic depression.
