Dame Edna's Honorary Understudy, award winning impersonator Scott Mason, bedazzles the stage with what the Dame herself calls 'a monologue interrupted by total strangers.' Join us for a night of pure comedy as Dame Edna brings to witty light what she fondly calls 'American puritanism at its worst.' With sincerity, sarcasm, and a smile, the self anointed 'Gigastar' skewers everything from celebrities to cruise ships to warning labels (and the first few rows of the audience might be targets as well) but without an ounce of profanity for a change of pace- this is, after all, a classy Dame from Down Under. Dame Edna also shares personal stories such as the fate of her deceased husband, Norm Everage, who suffered from a rare disease- the Prostate Murmur. 'Why can't comedy also be informative, Possums?' the Dame may have mentioned on an obscure late night talk-show. It's all for fun and fun for all, and as always our proceeds go to a good cause. 'Has there ever been a bad cause?... well.. perhaps,' quips the Dame 'but not this one, Possums.'
The McCallum Theatre presents Cole starring Michael Griffiths on Friday, February 3, at 3:00pm and 8:00pm. His popularity is far-reaching, receiving five star reviews and standing ovations wherever he performs.
