American Bard Theater Explores Gender Roles, Race, and Death in VISIONARY VOICES

American Bard Theater Company presents Visionary Voices, three poignant, tantalizing plays by two pioneering women playwrights, exploring gender roles, race, and death in America's early twentieth century. Aimee Todoroff and Tonya Pinkins direct. The evening of one-act works include Trifles by Susan Glaspell (1916), Exit: An Illusion by Marita Bonner (1929), and The People by Susan Glaspell (1918). Performances will be staged at the Gloria Maddox Theatre, 151 West 26th Street, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001 from February 15-March 5, 2017.
Josh Radnor to Host SPACE on Ryder Farm's 'Farm in the City' Gala

SPACE on Ryder Farm, a non-profit artist residency program located an hour north of New York City, is hosting their first annual Farm in the City gala. The event features a farm-to-table dinner, performances from six seasons of SPACE-developed work, and a live auction. The gala will take place on Monday, October 24th at 7 p.m. at Sun West Studios, 450 W. 31st Street, NYC.

Primary Stages hosted its 2016 Gala celebrating the Horton Foote Centennial last night, October 17, 2016 at 6:30 pm at 583 Park Avenue. The even twas chaired by CharLes Davis, HAllie Foote, David Richenthal and Michael Wilson, and featured performances and tributes by Elizabeth Ashley, Harriet Harris, Jayne Houdyshell, Estelle Parsons (pictured, left) and Molly Ringwald. SPACE on Ryder Farm will present Taylor Mac's A 24-Decade History of Popular Music: 1986-2016, August 6 & 7 at 7 PM. Music Director Matt Ray will join Mac for the work-in-progress performances, which span three decades from Mac's wildly ambitious, multi-year effort to chart the history of popular music in America, from the nation's founding in 1776 to the present day. Tickets are available for $35 through July 15, and $40 after, at www.spaceonryderfarm.org/calendar/taylor-mac.

In attendence were Josh Charles, David Bar Katz, Michael Urie, and Marsha Norman, as well as 2016 SPACE residents Cusi Cram, Daisy Foote, Adam Rapp, and recipients of the inaugural Relentless Award--Clare Barron and Sarah DeLappe.
