THE MEETING* Hosted by Justin Sayre to Make Los Angeles Debut, 4/11

Justin Sayre and The Meeting* - known for a signature blend of outrageous comedy, politics, culture and everything in between - were named among the Top nightclub shows of 2013 by Time Out New York, and received the 2012 Bistro Award for 'Comedy Artistry' and a 2011 MAC Award nomination for Best Male Comedy Performance. Each month, the I.O.S gathers to honor an artist or a cultural work that is iconic to the gay community. Justin Sayre, the show's creator, writer and host, serves as the Chairman of the Board of the International Order of Sodomites and brings his singular wit to essential business of the day through such regular features such as 'Letters to the Chairman' and 'New Rulings from the Board.'

THE MEETING* to Honor John Cameron Mitchell at Joe's Pub, 4/20

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will continue its engagement at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, April 20 at 7:00 PM with a celebration of the lauded actor, writer and director John Cameron Mitchell just in time for the Broadway debut of his celebrated musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, The Meeting* has returned to its downtown roots this year with shows through May. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post, and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A recent story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The April show will feature special guests to be announced.

Tony Winner Daisy Eagan Comes to Rockwell Table & Stage with Special Guest Adam Pascal, 4/21

Rockwell Table & Stage is thrilled to welcome actress and singer Daisy Eagan, the youngest female Tony Award Winner premieres her new one woman show, One For My Baby, (self-written with direction by Drew Droege and musical direction by Brandon James Gwinn) with special guest, Tony Nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, Aida, Chess) on Monday, April 21st, 2013 at Rockwell Table & Stage (1714 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027) at 8 p.m. with proceeds benefitting the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (www.gmcla.org).

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will continue its engagement at JOE'S PUB at The Public Theater on Sunday, March 16 at 9:30 PM with a celebration of the celebrated TV program 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.' After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, the show has returned to its downtown roots this year with shows through May. The Meeting* has been called 'delicious and delightfully droll' by The New York Post, and 'hilarious and sardonic' by The Village Voice. A recent story for Slate.com called the evening 'so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight.' The March show will feature special guests Kim Smith, Christian Coulson, Diana Kazakova, Chris Tyler and Mark Dommu with others to be announced. Tracy Stark serves as Music Director.

4th Annual NIGHT OF A THOUSAND JUDYS Set for Kaufman Center, 6/16

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre will present the fourth annual 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' on Monday, June 16. The Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center will take place at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center (129 West 67th Street in Manhattan). Called 'a rambunctious, uproarious, unpredictable all-star concert' by The Wall Street Journal, 'Night Of A Thousand Judys' will honor the iconic Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her legendary career as movie star, recording artist and stage performer. This show will also help celebrate the landmark 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. There will be a pre-show VIP reception at 6:30 PM and the performance at 8:00 PM. Part Johnny Carson, part Chelsea Handler, part Judy Garland - this will be an evening of entertainment with music, dance, comedy and magic (and lots of drinks). Show begins at 8 pm with social hour prior.

Blank Theatre Now Accepting Submissions for 2014 Young Playwrights Festival

The Blank Theatre's Young Playwrights Festival is now seeking submissions nationwide from playwrights 19 years of age and younger. The submission deadline is March 15, 2014. Winning plays will be presented by professional actors and directors in June, 2014 at the Stella Adler Theatre in Hollywood, CA.
