Transport Group's concert presentation of The Music Man has sold out The Pershing Square Signature Center's Irene Diamond Stage. Both general admission and premium reserved seating sold out within 24 hours of the initial casting announcement. Transport Group is taking names for a waiting list for cancellation tickets.

Initial casting for Transport Group's concert presentation of The Music Man has been announced. The evening will feature Laura Osnes, Santino Fontana, Andrew Keenan-Bolger, Alexandra Silber, Mary Testa, Jill Paice, Heather Mac Rae, Jeffry Denman, Stanley Bahorek, David Greenspan, and D.C. Anderson. Complete casting will be announced at a later date. The concert will be held at the Irene Diamond Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42 Street, on Monday, August 11, 2014, directed by five-time Drama Desk nominee, Jack Cummings III.

The 7th Season of The Parks Concert Series, (formerly The Concert for City Greens), a free outdoor concert series, commences tonight, May 28th at 6:30 pm (Rain date: Thursday, May 29th at 6:30pm.) at Tudor City Greens, and will feature professional performers from Broadway and the New York City cabaret, jazz, classical and opera scene.

NiCori Studios and Productions in association with Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center announces a new installment of the monthly concert series, "Music at the Mansion", on Sunday, October 27, at 3pm. Performers include Gas Lamp Players' cast of The Secret Garden, Tracy Stark, and DC Anderson. The featured performer in the "Young Musician Moment" will be Lauren Barr. Gas Lamp Players will be presenting the Broadway Musical, The Secret Garden, November 22-24. The Secret Garden tells the story of Mary Lennox, a young girl orphaned during the cholera epidemic in India, who is sent to live on a mysterious estate in Yorkshire, England. The estate's many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies, and the "Dreamers," spirits from Mary's past, who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden's compelling tale. Based on the famous novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the stunning musical score and classic story combine to create a powerful and uplifting theatrical experience about the healing power of the earth, which allows for love to grow, heal and flourish. Pianist/Arranger/Conductor/SingerSongwriter and Miranda Recording Artist, Tracy Stark is a 6-time MAC Award winner, in the categories of Music Director, Piano Bar Entertainer, and Song of the Year. She is also a Bistro Award winner for Musical Direction, and winner of the Dottie Burman Songwriter of the Year Award. The York Theatre Company production of the New York premiere of Storyville, a New Orleans musical, with book by Ed Bullins, music and lyrics by Mildred Kayden, direction by Bill Castellino, choreography by Mercedes Ellington and music direction by William Foster McDaniel will give its final performance this evening, August 17, 2013 at 8:00pm at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's where performances began July 15, 2013. Storyville will have played 8 preview and 27 regular performances.

The York Theatre Company, launches the NEODevelopmental Reading Series with the workshop presentation of the new musical, A Girl Called Vincent, based on the poetry of Edna St. Vincent Millay, with music written and composed by Carmel Dean, directed by Dick Scanlon and music direction by Charity Wicks. The six-member cast will feature Gerard Canonico, Van Hughes, Tamika Sonja Lawrence, Kelvin Moon Loh, Bonnie Milligan and Dani Shay. A single performance is scheduled for today, August 8, 2013 at 3:00pm.

The institutional fundraising event is set for TONIGHT, August 5 at the Alexandre Gertsman Contemporary Art Gallery (652 Broadway, 2nd Floor, between Bleecker and Bond Streets). Portion of the proceeds collected by the Gertsman Gallery will be donated to The York Theatre Company.
