Continuing its reputation as one of the nation's most successful theatrical houses, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts announces that the six-time Tony Award-Winner "Kinky Boots" along with the two-time Tony Award-winner "Beautiful - The Carole King Musical" will be among the six musical Broadway hits of the 2015-16 subscription series. The series is presented by Bank of America in partnership with Broadway Across America and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in association with Florida Theatrical Association.

On Sunday night, Beautiful took home the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album, and just yesterday, the cast of the Tony Award-winning hit celebrated the show's recent Grammy Award victory on stage at the Sondheim Theatre. Their Grammy isn't here yet, but in its place, Carole King allowed them to celebrate their victory with one of her very own Grammy Awards trophies! Broadway In Chicago has announced that producers Paul Blake and Sony/ATV Music Publishing will be holding a nationwide open casting call for the most sought-after role on Broadway, the title role in BEAUTIFUL-The Carole King Musical, about the early life and career of the legendary and groundbreaking singer/songwriter.

A Multi-Grammy-winning, Rock and Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame member, Cynthia Weil is the writer of some of the most iconic songs of the 20th century—including “You've Lost That Loving Feeling,” the most played song on the radio, ever. Her life as a pioneer of rock and roll, along with her friend Carole King, is currently the subject of the Tony-winning Broadway musical Beautiful (apropos, since another of Weil's hits is “On Broadway”).

Canadian-born triple threat Chilina Kennedy couldn't help but 'feel the earth move' today. The reason was the official announcement she will replace Chicago Tony Award-winner Jessie Mueller as Carole King in the smash hit Broadway juke box musical 'Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.' Her first performance will be March 7th.
