Dust off your dancing shoes, Strictly Come Dancing is waltzing back onto BBC One for its 16th series.

Michael Harrison and David Ian are delighted to announce that Anita Dobson and Craig Revel Horwood will star as 'Miss Hannigan' in the forthcoming UK tour of their smash hit production of the musical "ANNIE" opening at the Manchester Opera House on Saturday 2 February 2019.

Strictly Ballroom has waltzed its way to the West End! Strictly Ballroom is the romantic story that was embraced around the world, and went on to put the Strictly into Come Dancing! Based on the multi award-winning movie, the first installment from Baz Luhrmann's acclaimed Red Curtain Trilogy, the musical production is a kaleidoscope of color and fun. 

Love is in the air, and revolution too. Baz Luhrmann's beloved 1992 film (originally a student play, now back on stage as a musical) is even more adamantly anti-establishment in this latest incarnation, opening out a delicious satire of 1980s Australian competitive ballroom into a more universal story of the fight for fearless self-expression. In short: 'Love, freedom and sequins'.

The premise sounds promising: a brand new jukebox musical featuring the music of Dusty Springfield. Written by Warner Brown and directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, Son of a Preacher Man opened in Bromley in September 2017 and is currently touring the UK.

Romance of the Rose Productions announces the first casting for the new West End musical Knights of the Rose. Directed by Racky Plews and created by Jennifer Marsden, Knights of the Rose opens on 29th June for 9 weeks only at The Arts Theatre. Leading the noble Knights is Adam Pearce (King Aethelstan) who is joined by Chris Cowley (Palamon), Oliver Saville (Hugo), Rebecca Bainbridge (Queen Matilda / Bess), Rebekah Lowings (Isabel), Matt Thorpe (Horatio), Ruben Van keer (John), Katie Birtill (Hannah) and Bleu Woodward (Emily). Ian Gareth-Jones, Kelly Hampson and Tom Bales make up the ensemble.

The International Emmy Award-winning, all-male dance company BalletBoyz arrive at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre on 14 May following the recent world premiere of their new show FOURTEEN DAYS. The new work from the recent Rose d'Or winners has been created by four internationally celebrated choreographers, alongside four eminent and completely different composers, the new work comprises of four short pieces, and will run alongside their previously acclaimed FALLEN.

The Bristol Hippodrome have announced that comedy legend, musical theatre, television and Strictly star Brian Conley and celebrity style guru and television presenter Gok Wan will star in this year's spectacular production of the Fairy Godmother of all Pantomimes, Cinderella, from Saturday 8 December.

Multiple sources have revealed a starry cast for the upcoming West End production of Chess at London's Coliseum. The cast is said to include Michael Ball (The Russian), Alexandra Burke (Svetlana), Murray Head (The Arbiter), Tim Howar (The American) and Cassidy Janson (Florence).

Returning to the stage for a new UK tour in 2018, Dusty Springfield musical Son of a Preacher Man will run at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre 13-17 February, directed and choreographed by Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.

Alice Barlow and Michelle Gayle will star in the heart-warming new musical Son of a Preacher Man. Alice will play the role of Kat from 16 January 2018 and Michelle will play the role of Alison from 6 March 2018.

From 15 January 2018 Ruby Stokes (13-years old from Hampshire) will be joined by Isobel Khan (11 years old from Wakefield) and Agatha Meehan (10 years old from York) who will share the title role of Annie. The kids cast will also welcome Molly May Gibson (11 years old from Kent), Hannah Hutchins (13 years old from Bromley) and Amelie Green (10 years old from London) who join the three teams of young performers who play the girls in Miss Hannigan's orphanage.

The couples donning their dancing shoes and sequins are: Gemma Atkinson and Alja Skorjanec; Alexandra Burke and Gorka Marquez; Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton; Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova; Joe McFadden and Katya Jones; Debbie McGee and Giovanni Pernice; and Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse.
