Christopher Burney Named New Artistic Director of New York Stage and Film

New York Stage and Film announced today that, following a nationwide search, Christopher Burney will become its next Artistic Director. Additionally, New York Stage and Film's longtime Associate Artistic Director, Liz Carlson, has been promoted to the newly created position of Artistic Producer.
Berkeley Rep Extends PARADISE SQUARE Again!

The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training continues its season with Craig Lucas' dark, zany comedy, Reckless. A cast of seven will play 22 different characters. Directed by Brendan Ragan, FSU/Asolo Conservatory alum and founding Artistic Director of Urbanite Theatre in Sarasota, Reckless runs February 20 - March 10 in the Cook Theatre, with a pay-what-you-can preview night on Tuesday, February 19. Tickets are $30.

PARADISE SQUARE is a glorious if frustrating addition to the musical theatre canon, blessed with an exceptional cast, a stirring score, and the unbelievably exquisite choreography of Bill T. Jones. Yet, despite these riches, the opulent production trips self-consciously on its own ambition, with the whole adding up to something less satisfying than the sum of its exceptional parts.
