Unmatched in artistry, grace and refinement of movement, the internationally-acclaimed Cashore Marionettesredefine the art of puppetry. Performances by Joseph Cashore have astounded audiences in Europe, the Far East, across North America, and now, on April 10 at 7PM, at the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA). This presentation is one of several free William H. Gile Concert Series performances during the CCA's 2017-18 season.

Acclaimed artist and activist Joan Baez will begin a run of North American datesbeginning on September 11 in Ithaca, NY. The extensive run of shows, following 50 UK and European dates, marks Baez's last year of formal touring and includes stops at the historic Beacon Theatre in New York City and Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) presents their popular Writer-Producer Speed Date on Sunday, March 4, 2018. In deference to Oscar night, the event will start one hour earlier than usual: from 4:30pm - 8:00pm at NOLA Rehearsal Studio, 244 W 54th St., 11th floor. Application is free, and you must apply prior to purchasing your spot, on sale February 24, 2018. If accepted, there is a participation fee of $70 for TRU Members ($85 for non-members, $25 for each collaborator), and your pitch slot can be purchased at https://truonline.org/events/speed-date-03-04-18/.  

The NJSO invites amateur singers and instrumentalists to join fellow audience members and NJSO musicians in #ChoraleYou and #OrchestraYou events at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

Phoenix Productions will celebrate their 30th birthday with a unique and exciting evening of musical theatre on Saturday, February 24th at the Count Basie Theatre This one-night-only celebration, dubbed 'The Phoenix 30th Anniversary Gala, Show Much More' features more than 100 Phoenix alumni and a bevy of songs and dances from Phoenix's first 30 years as well as musical numbers from classic and current Broadway hits that could be their next 30 years.

 Innovator, music pioneer, composer and pianist Chick Corea pairs with the incomparable king of American jazz orchestras, Jazz at Lincoln Center Or chestra in the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall for a powerhouse concert on March 25, 2018. Since embarking on a solo career in 1966, Corea has been at the forefront of jazz, both as a renowned pianist forging new ground as an innovative electric ke yboardist with his acoustic jazz bands Return to Forever, the Elektric Band, and now, the electro / acoustic Vigil.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra welcomes seven new members and three returning members to its Board of Trustees. Charged with establishing policies that assist in the successful implementation of the NJSO's mission and vision, the board comprises members who are among the most in-demand institutional leaders across the state. Individual members are among the Garden State's most significant philanthropists, and corporate members hold key leadership positions in industries such as banking, medical, communications, technology and utilities.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts is once again offering audience members a dazzling, star-packed lineup of amazing shows, memorable concerts, insightful lectures and very special events during the months of March and April.

Siblings Grace and Jack Sweeney will be featured cast members for the Axelrod Performing Arts Center's upcoming production of "Ragtime, The Musical," which will run from March 3-25 and will be directed and choreographed by Luis Salgado, who is returning to the theater after last year's successful production of "In the Heights."

The McCallum Theatre presents "Jack @ 80: Jack Jones' 80th Birthday" on Saturday, March 3, at 8:00pm. Jack promises a show reflecting his long and illustrious career. Jack Jones was born in Hollywood on the night his singer/movie star father, Allan Jones, recorded his hit 'Donkey Serenade." He would make his famous parents (his mother was the elegant actress Irene Hervey) proud for the diversity and breadth of his talent. Jack attended University High School in West Los Angeles, studying drama and singing with private teachers. A young athlete, he gave up track and football to devote himself to the arts.

The Center for Successful Aging (CSA) is pleased to announce their sixth annual benefit concert, "Sophisticated Ladies," featuring an exclusive performance by local music legend Ike Jenkins and his 20 piece Big Band. CSA will also honor the Assistance League of Santa Barbara with the 'Spirit of Successful Aging" award, recognizing their 70 years of service, commitment and dedication to the local community. The concert will take place on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 2pm at the Marjorie Luke Theatre. Tickets are $100 for patron seats, $25 for adults and $10 for children.

The Bickford Theatre celebrates the 100th anniversary of the birth of jazz legend Thelonious Monk on Thursday, February 22, with a concert featuring his son, the acclaimed drummer, educator and composer T.S. Monk who will perform with his sextet introducing vocalist April May Webb.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra hosts Sunday Afternoon Out-an NJSO Accent event for LGBTQ community members and friends-on Sunday, March 11, at State Theatre New Jersey in New Brunswick. Attendees can mingle with NJSO musicians at a wine and dessert reception following the Orchestra's 3 pm performance of works by Tchaikovsky, Haydn and Danielpour.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Xian Zhang present Mozart's Requiem, March 15-18 in Newark, Princeton and Morristown. A trio of vocal pieces, including a pair of a cappella works performed by the Montclair State University Singers, open the program.
