The Denver Center Theatre Company has announced casting for the 2009 Colorado New Play Summit readings, which includes top talent from Denver and across the country. The Summit, which will gather theatre enthusiasts and industry professionals in Denver February 12-14, will feature the reading of a new adaptation of the classic musical THE UNSINKABLE MOLLY BROWN and readings of four new plays - EVENTIDE, WHEN TANG MET LAIKA, TAKE ME TO THE RIVER and FLOODED. In this playful new comedy set in Hollywood's silent film era, a precocious teenager flees small-town Minnesota to chase her dream of becoming a movie star in Los Angeles-but discovers the road to fame isn't exactly paved with gold.

Under the direction of Carl Forsman, performances are set to begin Sunday evening, October 12, 2008 at 5:00 p.m. and will run in repertory with A Body of Water by Lee Blessing for a limited engagement through November 19, 2008. ACT Announces New Plays For 'First Look' Series

Two groundbreaking new works directed by leading theater artists will take the stage at American Conservatory Theater's First Look New Plays Festival, running April 11 through April 26 at Zeum Theater. The plays include The Road Weeps, The Well Runs Dry, a deeply poetic new play by Marcus Gardley, and the newest version of Lillian Groag's theatrical adaptation of renowned poet Christopher Logue's War Music, a contemporary retelling of Homer's Iliad. Each play will receive two script-in-hand workshop performances following an intense week of work by the many artists engaged.

American Conservatory Theater conservatory director Melissa Smith and Young Conservatory director Craig Slaight announced casting today for the world premiere production of playwright Amy Herzog's The Wendy Play. Directed by A.C.T. associate artist Domenique Lozano, the production features actors from the graduating class of the Master of Fine Arts Program as well as from the Young Conservatory. Casting Complete for 'The Imaginary Invalid' at Seattle Rep

The full cast and creative team have been announced for the Seattle Repertory production of Molière's The Imaginary Invalid at the Seattle Repertory Theatre, February 21-March 22. This production, which will open officially on February 27, will be directed by David Schweizer. The Imaginary Invalid, which has been adapted by Constance Congdon, centers around Argan (to be played by Rocco Sisto), a hypochondriac set on marrying off his daughter to a doctor as a solution for his growing medical bills.
