Daniel's Husband at Island City Stage, a world premiere about the importance of marriage equality, garnered six nominations, the most of any play.

Continuing their sixth season, the award-winning Slow Burn Theatre Company will present the South Florida premiere of the musical Bonnie & Clyde. The production will run from January 22nd through February 8th at the West Boca Performing Arts Theater on the campus of West Boca Raton Community High School on Glades Road, in Boca Raton, and from February 12th through February 15th at the Aventura Arts & Culture Center in Aventura.

Conceived by Paul Kelly, SWING! is a high-energy song-and-dance revue that celebrates the music of the Swing era of jazz (1930s-1946) and includes well-known tunes by legendary artists, such as Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, William 'Count' Basie and others. Songs from the original SWING! score include: It Don't Mean a Thing (If it Ain't Got that Swing), Throw That Girl Around, Hit Me With a Hot Note and Watch Me Bounce, Don't Sit Under the Apple Tree, In the Mood, Blues in the Night, Cry Me a River and All of Me.
'Big River' recounts Mark Twain's powerful portrait of classic American characters - Huck Finn, Tom Sawyer and their slave friend, Jim - setting it against a musical backdrop of homespun country infused with soulful gospel. At once comical and poignant, this celebrated show takes audiences on an adventure down the Mississippi River to tell the enduring tale of a boy's struggle to escape convention, and a man's struggle to find freedom.
