The United Solo Theatre Festival will present 'THE SPEED QUEEN,' based on the novel The Speed Queen by Stewart O'Nan, adapted and performed by Anne Stockton and directed by Austin Pendleton for one performance only on Thursday, November 18th at 8:30 pm. The performance is part of the larger United Solo Theatre Festival presenting the works of 47 solo artists running November 8th through November 11th at Theatre Row. The nominees for the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2011 were announced this morning by Malin Akerman ('27 Dresses,' 'Watchmen'), Michael Chiklis, ('No Ordinary Family'), Zachary Levi ('Chuck'), AnnaLynne McCord ('90210'), Jeff Probst ('Survivor') and Audrina Patridge ('The Hills'), along with host Queen Latifah and Executive Producer Mark Burnett at The London West Hollywood Hotel. Prior to the announcement, over 35 million votes were cast by fans across the country. Fans were invited to pick new categories and determine the nominees for the annual awards show that celebrates fan favorites in movies, music and television.

This winter, Diana Amsterdam's Carnival Round the Central Figure brings the macabre back to New York City. In a staging by Karen Kohlhaas reminiscent of the carnal exorbitance of carnivale's heyday, featuring a cast of characters pulled straight from the murky depths of the human psyche. Carnival is a hilarious, bizarre, and poignant story of the meaning of death, of dying with dignity, and the ancient dilemma of living for a life after death. Presented by IRT Theater (Kori Rushton, Artistic Director).

Vivino Takes Over As Band Leader on New TBS Late-Night Show Conan Beginning Nov. 8

Conan O'Brien's new late-night series on TBS will have a familiar name to fans of the iconic host. O'Brien's third late-night show will simply be titled Conan when he returns to television Monday, Nov. 8, at 11 p.m. (ET/PT) on TBS.
