Southwark Playhouse Sets Full All-Female 'CYRANO' Cast

Lauren Brown and Chloe Courtney today announce the full cast for Russell Bolam's production of Cyrano de Bergerac. Kathryn Hunter plays the title role of Cyrano and is joined by Sabrina Bartlett as Roxane, Ellie Kendrick as Christian and by Holly Burn, Tina Chiang, Penelope Dimond, Tamzin Griffin and Kiran Sonia Sawar. The production opens on 22 February at Southwark Playhouse, with previews from 18 February, and runs until 19 March.

Official: Jessica Brown Findlay, Vanessa Kirby & More to Join Paul Rhys in UNCLE VANYA at Almeida Theatre

Jessica Brown Findlay (Sonya), Vanessa Kirby (Elena), Richard Lumsden (Telegin), Hilton McRae (Serebryakov), Tobias Menzies (Astrov) and Ann Queensberry (Nanny) join the previously announced Paul Rhys (Vanya) in Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, a new version created by and directed by Associate Director, Robert Icke, at the Almeida Theatre. Running from 5 February until 26 March 2016, with press night on 12 February, Uncle Vanya is Icke's next production following the critically acclaimed Oresteia, which ran at the Almeida Theatre, transferred to the West End, and recently won him the Evening Standard Award for Best Director.

Family Musical MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS Launches West End Tour Today

The producer of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Hetty Feather and What the Ladybird Heard today announces the world premiere of brand new family musical Mr Popper's Penguins which is making a splash this winter touring around the country now through January 2016. Mr Popper and his Penguins will be hopping off to various locations, opening at the Theatre Royal Brighton today 26 November.

Family Musical MR. POPPER'S PENGUINS to Launch West End Tour, Nov. 26

The producer of The Tiger Who Came to Tea, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Hetty Feather and What the Ladybird Heard today announces the world premiere of brand new family musical Mr Popper's Penguins which is making a splash this winter touring around the country from November 2015 to January 2016. Mr Popper and his Penguins will be hopping off to various locations, opening at the Theatre Royal Brighton on Thursday 26 November. The tour continues on to Malvern Theatre and London's Cadogan Hall before settling in at the Lowry Salford for a glittering Christmas season from Thursday 10 December to Sunday 10 January. The tour is completed with a run at Rose Theatre Kingston from Thursday 14 January to Sunday 17 January.

Brown/Trinity Rep to Present THE LOVE OF THE NIGHTINGALE

The Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Programs present Timberlake Wertenbaker's The Love of the Nightingale directed by Caitlin Ryan O'Connell ('16) opening December 4, 2015. A modern adaptation of the Greek myth of Philomele, Nightingale tells the story of two sisters who survive foreign lands, vast journeys and extremes of love and violence.

TV: Full Cast Announced in West End's HANGMEN - First Trailer Released!

Full casting has today been announced for the West End run of the Royal Court Theatre's production of Hangmen. ProducersRobert Fox, Matthew Byam Shaw for Playful Productions and Royal Court Theatre Productions are delighted to announce that Andy Nyman will play Syd, Craig Parkinson will take on the role of Inspector Fry and Tony Hirst will play Bill, completing the cast of the West End production. Directed by Matthew Dunster, Martin McDonagh's Hangmen will transfer to the Wyndham's Theatre for a strictly limited season, previewing from 1 December.  Check out the new trailer below!

The 2015 Edinburgh International Festival comes to a close today after a hugely successful programme, featuring some of the world's greatest artists, which has extended its reach to audiences both at the Festival and across the world.

Full Cast Announced for Stage Adaptation of TIPPING THE VELVET

Kirsty Besterman, David Cardy, Amanda Hadingue, Adelle Leonce and Andy Rush will join the previously announced Sally Messham and Laura Rogers in Laura Wade's new adaptation of Sarah Waters' bestselling novel, Tipping the Velvet, directed by Lyndsey Turner. They will be supported by a young ensemble. Tipping the Velvet will open at the Lyric Hammersmith on 28 September 2015, with previews from 18 September.

In partnership with the American Institute for Economic Research and the Clark Art Institute, the 10-day, 12-performance series of Van Gogh's Ear complements Clark's art exhibition Van Gogh and Nature and features a special pre-performance discussion August 25th led by the Clark's curator at large, Richard Kendall.

The Edinburgh International Festival opened last night with The Harmonium Project, a free outdoor animated performance that lit up the city's key concert hall, to celebrate 50 years of the Edinburgh Festival Chorus. Approximately 19,500 watched a series of projected artworks, designed by 59 Productions, on the Usher Hall whilst listening to John Adams' mesmerising choral work Harmonium. Transport Theatre to Launch UK Tour of THE EDGE

From 8 October to 14 November, Transport, the critically acclaimed Folkstone-based theatre company behind Invisible, 1001 Nights and Elegy will present a brand new devised production, The Edge, with original music composed by award-winning Raymond Yiu. Inspired by real life narratives taken from the south coast of England and the Sundabans in India and developed in collaboration with leading lecturer in coastal oceanography Dr Ivan Haigh, The Edge is an extensive exploration of climate change and migration. Based on an encounter between two people from different cultures that encompasses myths from the sea, the history of human migration, the formation of rivers and seas, the piece will be devised and directed by Douglas Rintoul and the creative team behind Elegy.
