Detroit Public Theatre and Harlem9 Will Present 48HOURS IN...DETROIT

Detroit Public Theatre (DPT) is thrilled to announce that they will be collaborating with the OBIE Award-winning, Harlem9, for a second 48Hours in...™Detroit play festival. The festival will follow the same format as the first 48Hours in...™Detroit, which took place in 2019 and consisted of 6 new 10-minute plays created over the course of 48 hours by native and current Detroit artists.

Motor Sister Announces New Album 'Get Off'

The band has also shared lead single “Can’t Get High Enough,” out now. Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Jim Wilson (Mother Superior), guitarist Scott Ian (Anthrax), bassist Joey Vera (Armored Saint), drummer John Tempesta (White Zombie, The Cult) and vocalist Pearl Aday (Pearl), Motor Sister was originally formed as a Mother Superior covers band.

BWW Review: TRACY JONES at JCC Centerstage Theatre

In keeping with its tradition of spotlighting new plays and emerging playwrights, in addition to the stalwarts that theatre audiences know and love ('Little Shop of Horrors' is next on the docket), Rochester's JCC Centerstage Theatre launched its production of 'Tracy Jones' on March 5th, a National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere written by Stephen Kaplan. Alison Cook Beatty Dance Presents MOVING STORIES

In Spring of 2020 Alison Cook Beatty Dance was booked and ready to present 11 Companies from around the country in Artists In Motion 2020. But when COVID-19 and Broadway shut down, Artists In Motion 2020 was canceled. The Arts community saw performance after performance canceled, theaters shut down, and dance companies and studios folding. Alison stayed in touch with all of the choreographers who were accepted into this shared event and promised that when the time was right she would remount the performance. 

MoRI Remounts Solo Exhibition By Ukrainian-American Artist Lesia Sochor, Featuring Three New Works

In support of the Ukrainian people, The Museum of Russian Icons has announced the reinstallation of Maine-based contemporary artist Lesia Sochor's Pysanka: Symbol of Renewal, an exhibition inspired by the beautiful tradition of intricately decorated Ukrainian Easter egg painting, March 17 – July 31, 2022,  Three new works created in response to the current crisis in Ukraine will be featured in the exhibition. The exhibition was previously on display in 2020-21.
