UK Tour of SUNSET BOULEVARD to Come to Koninklijk Theater!

The UK Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's hit SUNSET BOULEVARD is coming to the Koninklijk Theater! This touring production stars Ria Jones, Glenn Close's understudy in the recent West End production, as Norma Desmond, as well as Danny Mac as Joe Gillis. SUNSET BOULEVARD will open at the Koninklijk Theater on March 28th and run through April 8th.

An outstanding cast has been announced for the return of Opera North's award-winning production of Cole Porter's classic musical comedy, Kiss Me, Kate, opening at Leeds Grand Theatre in May, then touring to the Ravenna Festival, to the London Coliseum for a two-week run in June, and moving to the Festival Theatre, Edinburgh in July.

A New Cast Joins West End's ANNIE Next Week

From 15 January 2018 Ruby Stokes (13-years old from Hampshire) will be joined by Isobel Khan (11 years old from Wakefield) and Agatha Meehan (10 years old from York) who will share the title role of Annie. The kids cast will also welcome Molly May Gibson (11 years old from Kent), Hannah Hutchins (13 years old from Bromley) and Amelie Green (10 years old from London) who join the three teams of young performers who play the girls in Miss Hannigan's orphanage.

Meera Syal Joins The West End Cast Of ANNIE

Last night (30 November 2017), the West End Company of Annie officially welcomed Meera Syal who now plays the role of Miss Hannigan in the hit musical at the Piccadilly Theatre. Syal celebrated with friends and family, including Lolita Chakrabarti, Sean Foley, Nitin Ganatra, Twiggy and Leigh Lawson and Nicola Walker, as well as fellow cast members. Syal will play the role of Miss Hannigan for the duration of the run which concludes, as previously announced, on 18 February 2018 at the Piccadilly Theatre.

Today, Michael Harrison and David Ian, producers of the West End production of Annie, have officially announced that from 27 November 2017, Meera Syal will join the Company to play the role of Miss Hannigan for the duration of the run which concludes, as previously announced, on 18 February 2018 at the Piccadilly Theatre.

According to Daily Mail reporter Baz Bamigboye, actress and singer Meera Syal will be taking over the role of Miss Hannigan in the West End production of Annie. Syal is well known for her roles in Doctor Strange and Doctor Who. She was last seen in the West End in Romeo and Juliet (2016). Syal joins the cast from November 27 through February 18.

Has there ever been a time when we're more in need of irrepressible optimism? The orphan who convinces everyone around her that 'the sun will come out tomorrow' has certainly hit the West End at an opportune moment, and there's plenty of enjoyment to be had from a show that is, nevertheless, far more throwback than vital piece for 2017.
