Seattle Center Movies at the Mural returns this summer with a line-up of five outstanding films shown outdoors on a 45-foot screen at Mural Amphitheater at Seattle Center, Saturday evenings, Aug. 1, 15, 22, 29; and Friday, Aug. 28.

Registration is now open for the Fall Session of Adult Acting Classes, beginning September 13th, 2009 at Actor's Theatre of Charlotte. Taught by professional actor/director Martin Thompson, these classes are appropriate for both aspiring actors and professionals who would like to improve their skills. Class registration is limited and will be accepted one week prior to the first class of each session.

The swinging '60's meet Broadway when Robin and the 7 Hoods, a brand new musical comedy, opens in New York during the 2010-11 season, it was announced by the show's producers (Bruce Charet, Dennis Mastro, Dennis Farina, Billy Campbell; Barry Brown, executive producer)

THE ORPHANS' HOME CYCLE, the world premiere of a three part theatrical event by the late Academy Award and Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Horton Foote, will feature a company of 22 actors under the direction of Michael Wilson. The exciting, sweeping work will be co-produced in the 2009-2010 season by Hartford Stage (Michael Wilson, Artistic Director; Michael Stotts, Managing Director) and Signature Theatre Company (James Houghton, Founding Artistic Director; Erika Mallin, Executive Director).

Variety reports that the stage adaptation of 'The Shawshank Redemption' that played at Dublin's Gaiety Theatre will get a West End run in the fall. Based on the Stephen King novella that also inspired the 1994 movie version of 'Shawshank', the plot centers on the friendship two men develop over their time as inmates in a notoriously tough prison.

Legendary actor, director, writer and producer Jerry Lewis will make his theatrical directorial debut on Broadway with the new musical, ?THE NUTTY PROFESSOR?, based on the 1963 film that he starred in and co-wrote. With music by Academy Award, Emmy Award, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Marvin Hamlisch and a book and lyrics by multiple Tony Award winner and Grammy Nominee Rupert Holmes, the musical is aiming for a bow on Broadway in the 2010/2011 season and is being produced by Loud Watch Productions, LLC.

Broadway Tony winning director John Doyle (?Sweeney Todd,? ?Company?) makes his feature film debut, with Oscar nominee Don McAlpine (?Moulin Rouge,? ?X-Men Origins: Wolverine?) behind the camera as director of photography. The other members of the creative team include production designer Christopher Nowak (?Before the Devil Knows You?re Dead?) and costume designer Gary Jones (?Spider Man 2,? ?Definitely, Maybe?).

Original and current cast members from the West End stage production of Mamma Mia! will share their stories and experiences of the musical as part of a 10th annual documentary Called Mamma Mia!-The Real Story. The documentary is being made by USP Content and broadcast by Guardian Media Group's Smooth Radio and Real Radio networks. It will be released in March. The piece will also include stories and contributions from the production's writer Catherine Johnson. In it Johnson will discuss her original ideas for the show and how much she pushed to retain control of the film version with Meryl Streep. Streep will also be featured in the two part documentary.
