Sound It Out Series comes to Greenwich House September-December 2018!

Today, September 21, THE CRYSTAL METHOD (Scott Kirkland) returns with a new single, 'Ghost In The City.' Co-produced with electronicartist/producer Le Castle Vania, it is a narrative-driven electronic dream that floats through dark clouds and shredding guitars, while singer-songwriter Amy Kirkpatrick delivers an angelic and touching vocal performance.

An exuberant blend of toe-tapping hits and raunchy comedy, The Book of Mormon knocked on the door of Broadway's Eugene O'Neill Theatre in 2011, later receiving 9 Tony Awards including the coveted title of Best Musical. Written by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone along with Avenue Q co-writer Robert Lopez, this flamboyant mega-hit pokes fun at Mormonism and musicals in general, daring audiences not to be swept away by a riptide of crude humour and blatant social commentary.

New Focus Recordings proudly presents the New York release shows for Raba, the new album from Minnesota-based composer Scott L. Miller featuring Estonia's Ensemble U:, flutist Laura c*cks, guitarist Daniel Lippel, and Scott L. Miller. The works on this release reveal a two-decade compositional trend toward quieter, more patient, ambient music rooted in the environment of its origins or its performance. The original concept for this recording was that it should be a retrospective assemblage of previously unreleased audio-visual works from various collaborations Miller has been a part of since 2001. It quickly evolved into a collection of pieces from the past remade, and the impetus for new collaborations. In addition to this album, there is a limited edition DVD of five of the video collaborations with film and video artists Paul Clipson, Ron Gregg, Ted Moore, Rosemary Williams, and Mark Zaki. A/C Theatre Company's staging of Andrew Lippa's THE WILD PARTY, is a wildly engaging tribute to the roar of another decade and its edgy underbelly. Featuring Alanna Kalbfleisch in a defining role, the show runs through September 23rd at Phoenix Theatre's Hardes Theatre.

Tomberlin, the rising Louisville, KY-based artist, has announced a fall tour that includes dates supporting Mirah in October, a headlining east coast run in November and west coast solo dates supporting Andy Shauf in early December. All dates below.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, presents the World Premiere of Scientific Method by Jenny Connell Davis, directed by Devon de Mayo, and featuring RTE Member Ashley Neal, with Glenn Obrero, Josh Odor, Courtney Williams and Carmen Roman. 11th Hour Theatre Company brings its consistently sold out concert series back home and as the series begins its 2018-2019 season it has grown. 11th Hour's Next Step Concert Series is now set to run over two weekends. They begin their season with a concert performance of Grey Gardens. Grey Gardens features Music by Scott Frankel, Lyrics by Michael Korie and a Book by Doug Wright. 11th Hour Theatre Company Associate Artistic Director and Co-Founder Steve Pacek directs.  Amanda Morton is the Music Director. Grey Gardens runs October 6-14. The official Media Opening is Sunday, October 7 at 2 p.m.  Tickets cost $36 (which includes a $4 service fee). $19 tickets are available online for Students and Industry. Verknipt are set to serve up three days of the most essential parties at this year's ADE. This will be their fourth annual showcase at the conference and once again they welcome acclaimed international house and techno DJs like Ansome, Gary Beck, Anastasia Kristensen, Luke Slater, Sterac, Claptone, Dennis Cruz, Solardo, Guti, Franky Rizardo, SNTS, Dasha Rush and many more to Amsterdam studios.

Madeleine Potter and Donald Sage Mackay complete the cast for the forthcoming West End Premiere of Pulitzer Prize-winner Sam Shepard's ferociously funny, modern classic, True West. They will join the previously announced Kit Harington - renowned for his leading role in the internationally acclaimed series Game of Thrones - and Johnny Flynn - star of the widely celebrated film Beast and US TV series Genius, and who received rave reviews for his performance in the New York transfer of Hangmen, in the first UK production of Shepard's work since his death last summer. True West will play a limited season at the Vaudeville Theatre from Friday 23 November - Saturday 16 February (Press Night: Tuesday 4 December at 7:00pm).
