Jobsite Theatre is excited to announce complete casting for Caryl Churchill's Cloud 9, closing our season this July! The show goes into rehearsal in June. ACME, American Contemporary Music Ensemble, will perform music from its new 'portrait' album Thrive on Routine on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 8pm at Roulette (509 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn, NY), on a concert series curated by Meredith Monk. The concert will feature Monk's first string quartet, Stringsongs, from 2005, which ACME has performed frequently and recorded for Q2 Music's Meet the Composer podcast. In addition, ACME will perform Caroline Shaw's in manus tuas for solo cello, Caleb Burhans' Jahrzeit for string quartet, and Timo Andres' Thrive on Routine for string quartet, from the new album. ACME players for this concert are Ben Russell and Laura Lutzke, violins; Caleb Burhans, viola; and Clarice Jensen, cello and ACME artistic director.

Sony Classical will release acclaimed pianist Simone Dinnerstein's new album, Mozart in Havana, on April 21. The new album, recorded in Cuba, may be her most ambitious to date and is a testament to music's ability to cross all cultural and language barriers. For it, Dinnerstein has collaborated with the virtuosic Havana Lyceum Orchestra to perform Mozart's Piano Concerto Nos. 21 and 23. In June, the Orchestra will also make their American debut in a series of concerts, the first time an orchestra of this size has traveled to the U.S. from Cuba since the revolution.

The opera addresses universal questions of wealth and income inequality.

The Goethe-Institut has announced The Plurality of Privacy Project in Five-Minute Plays (P3M5), a transatlantic theater project initiated to explore the value of privacy. In cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Washington, theaters across the United States and Europe have commissioned playwrights to write five minute plays themed around the question, "What does privacy mean to you in the digital age?"
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was immortalized in the 60s TV classic of the same name and is now full-blown in an onstage touring musical called Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer The Musical. It follows the film almost to the letter with a bevy of animal characters, elves and of course, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. It was Mrs. Donner who gave birth to Rudolph, and to protect him from the world, his family covered up his nose... but to no avail. Now with its two-day stop at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Rudolph... is a delight for children with its sugar-coated, infectiously cute little story.
