ArtsLab OnStage (http://www.ArtsLabOnstageNYC.com) will present a special evening of Italian theatre entitled Voices of Italy at New York City Center (131 W. 55th Street) on October 19 at 8:00 PM, featuring a preview of T'Ammore, 'The Spirit of Naples' and Belcanto, 'The Luciano Pavarotti Heritage'. This event will demonstrate the influence of Italy's contemporary artistic talents, and serve as an introduction to more Italian cultural performances produced by ArtsLab OnStage in New York. Performers from T'Ammore and Belcanto will also be featured in this year's Columbus Day Parade with Live TV performances from the 'Red Carpet'.

Canadian Stage Announces Surplus for Second Year Running

For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, Canadian Stage announced a surplus of $114,532, marking the second year in a row the company has ended the theatre season in the black, following a surplus of $30,880 for the 2012 fiscal year. Under the leadership of Artistic & General Director Matthew Jocelyn, Managing Director Su Hutchinson and board chair Ron Lalonde, the not-for-profit company continues to support its artistic mandate as a home for innovative live performance from Canada and around the world by reducing the organization's accumulated deficit by seven per cent in fiscal year 2013 from fiscal year 2012.

Wharf Fest, the first free Fisherman's Wharf street festival, kicks off the weekend of October 26 and 27. With the majority of Fleet Week activities on hold and the Blue Angels grounded for 2013, the Fisherman's Wharf Community Benefit District is throwing the ultimate festival to celebrate San Francisco's historic waterfront district and invite Bay Area locals to visit the district before San Francisco's fabulous fall climate fades away.
