Cuba Gooding Jr To Star In West End's CHICAGO

Oscar winner, Cuba Gooding Jr will be making his British stage debut and his musical debut as smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn in the multi award-winning CHICAGO at the Phoenix Theatre in London's West End. Following a successful UK and international tour, and after a 5 -year absence from London, CHICAGO, the winner of six Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards and a Grammy, will begin performances at the Phoenix Theatre on Monday 26 March 2018.

ast night, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's holiday season at New York City Center kicked off with a star-studded Opening Night Gala Benefit performance and party that honored Ailey Board President Debra L. Lee (Chairman and Chief Executive Office of BET Networks) for her support of the Ailey organization since 2002. Music and film stars Queen Latifah andJanelle Mon e served as honorary chairs for the evening, and the gala co-chairs were Deedra & Bob Bakish, Emily & Len Blavatnik, Paulette & Howard Bradnock, Daria L. & Eric J. Wallach, and Joan & Sandy Weill. Over $2.4 million was raised in support of the creation of new works, scholarships to The Ailey School, and Ailey's extensive educational programs for young people.

Brooklyn Community Services (BCS) launched its ONE Brooklyn Community MTA Campaign for the third year on September 12 with 'Many Voices, Many Stories,' a public service poster campaign seen on 36 Brooklyn subway stations that features 22 Brooklyn notables including Tiq Milan, a transgender activist, writer, public speaker, media consultant and a LGBT spokesperson for GLAAD and Penelope Ghartey (Penel), who is a 9 year old transgender boy that advocates to live authentically and loves school and karate.
