CALIGULA MAXIMUS Extends Run Thru 4/10 at La MaMa’s Ellen Stewart Theatre

The Off Broadway production of Alfred Preisser and Randy Weiner's CALIGULA MAXIMUS, at the Ellen Stewart Theatre, will be extended for one additional week to meet audience demand. CALIGULA MAXIMUS begins previews at the Ellen Stewart Theatre, 66 E. 4th St, in New York on March 12th and has been extended through April 10th. Opening night is set for March 19th, with scheduled performances on Thursday and Friday at 8pm, Saturday at 8pm and 10pm.

Co-writers Alfred Preisser (Co-Founder, Classical Theatre of Harlem) and Randy Weiner (owner of the notorious night spot, The Box) have teamed up to create CALIGULA MAXIMUS, a new play that takes place on the last night of the notorious dictator's life.

CALIGULA MAXIMUS Casts Coney Island Sideshow Performers

In CALIGULA MAXIMUS, Alfred Preisser and Randy Weiner's play about the notorious dictator Caligula, director Alfred Preisser celebrates the body beautiful by casting Coney Island sideshow tattooed muscleman Tim Dax and marine Raheem Green, who sports a 'Born to Kill' tattoo, to play gladiators, and award-winning competitive bodybuilders Myra Adams and Roxanne Edwards as gladiatrixes.

Classical Theatre of Harlem Bids Farewell To Their Founders

After founding the Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) and serving as the company's Artistic Director and Executive Director for the past eleven seasons respectively, Alfred Preisser and Christopher McElroen will depart the Off-Broadway theatre this November.

'Dance of the Seven Headed Mouse,' a new play by Carole Gaunt, will conclude its limited Off-Broadway engagement this Saturday, July 25th at The Beckett at Theatre Row. 'Dance of the Seven Headed Mouse' opened on June 23rd to favorable reviews led by Bloomberg's John Simon who called the play 'Genuinely touching.' Under the direction of Christopher McElroen, the cast includes Joseph Adams, Laura Bonarrigo, Molly Ephraim, Lauren Currie Lewis, and Maya Simkowitz.

Hungry Hill, Ltd proudly invites you to their new production, Dance of the Seven Headed Mouse, a new play by Carole Gaunt, directed by Christopher McElroen.
