Free Previews of BRING DOWN THE HOUSE Offered at Seattle Area Libraries

Seattle Shakespeare Company will offer free previews of its upcoming adaptation of Shakespeare's Henry IV trilogy called Bring Down the House at area public libraries. During the 45 minute presentations, director Rosa Joshi and members of the cast will read selected scenes and follow up with a question and answer session.

Cast and Crew Announced for Tympanic Theatre's SWEET ANALYTICS

Tympanic is excited to announce the cast and crew for the World Premiere of SWEET ANALYTICS, a dark comedy by Hayes Borkowski (Vacation, Area IV Theatre), directed by Joshua Ellison*. SWEET ANALYTICS begins Tympanic's tenth season, and opens October 24, 2016 and runs through November 20, 2016 at Berry United Methodist Church, 4754 N Leavitt St. in Chicago.

Troy Skinner Brings Burt Bacharach Show to Arthur Newman Theatre

Local singer, Troy Skinner performs his acclaimed one-man cabaret concert, "What The World Needs Now" onSunday, October 16, 2016 at the Arthur Newman Theatre in Palm Desert.  The show is a tribute to legendary composer Burt Bacharach, with piano accompaniment by musical director Christopher Marlowe. Tickets for the 2 PM show are $11 cash at the door, which opens at 1 PM.

Nancy Dussault in MY LIFE…UPON THE WICKED STAGE at Feinstein's/54 Below

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Nancy Dussault in "MY LIFE UPON THE WICKED STAGE" on September 27, 2016 @ 7:00PM. Nancy will take the audience on a musical journey, returning to those heady days of her Broadway life. Expect this Golden Age leading lady to sing the brilliant songs of Richard Rodgers, Jule Styne, Burton Lane, and Stephen Sondheim. You'll also get to re-live the time when she introduced the classic, "Make Someone Happy". Nancy will regale with tales of being the first co-host of Good Morning America, co-starring in the New Dick Van Dyke show, and starring with Ted Knight in "Too Close For Comfort", before returning to Broadway in Side By Side By Sondheim and Into The Woods. In "My Life-Upon The Wicked Stage" Dussault brings her musicality, comedic storytelling, and unique personal accessibility to songs including "Getting Married Today", "Look To The Rainbow", "Where Is The Tribe For Me", "Old Friend" and of course, " Make Someone Happy".

Actors' Shakespeare Project Opens 13th Season with HAMLET

Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) has earned its reputation for performing the works of William Shakespeare with clarity and focus on language, emphasis on the characters' journeys, and a commitment to remain actively itinerant. The 13th season will exemplify ASP's vision for presenting Shakespeare, with productions of HAMLET, THE TEMPEST (Directed by Allyn Burrows; December 1, 2016 - January 8, 2017; Willet Hall at United Parish, Brookline), Christopher Marlowe's EDWARD II (Directed by David R. Gammons; February 22 - March 19, 2017, Charlestown Working Theater), and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM (Directed by Patrick Swanson, May 10 - June 4, 2017, Multicultural Arts Center, Cambridge). New Works by Neil LaBute, Israel Horovitz and More Slated for La MaMa's 55th Season

Last Chance to See Kit Harington in DOCTOR FAUSTUS in the West End

There are just three weeks left to see Game of Thrones star Kit Harington on stage in the title role of Doctor Faustus at the Duke of York's Theatre, London. Directed by Jamie Lloyd, this anarchic production of Christopher Marlowe's masterwork, with two acts written by Colin Teevan, must end Saturday 25th June.
