'SISTER MARY IGNATIUS' and 'UNCONVENTIONAL CHRISTMAS CAROL' Set for Equinox, Now thru 12/22

The Equinox presents Sister Mary Ignatius Explains it All for You on the main stage this month, running tonight, December 7-22. The theatre is taking on Christmas and the Catholic school system in our twisted, comedic way with a Christopher Durang classic. Plus, on the children's stage this month is Bert & Charlie's Unconventional Christmas Carol, playing now through December 22.

Custom Made Theatre presents the Bay Area premiere of Christopher Durang's Why Torture is Wrong, and the People who Love Them. This highly original black comedy centers around a young woman who suspects that her new husband -- whom she married while drunk -- may be a terrorist. Durang, the crown prince of American absurdists, spins a mirthful, politically infused tale full of outrageous characters. Directed by Claire Rice at Gough Street Playhouse, 1622 Gough Street, San Francisco, January 11 - February 10, 2013.

Lincoln Center Theater Announces VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE Through 1/20

The Lincoln Center Theater production of VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, a new play by Christopher Durang, directed by Nicholas Martin has been extended through Sunday, January 20 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street). The production, which features Genevieve Angelson, Shalita Grant, Billy Magnussen, Kristine Nielsen, David Hyde Pierce and Sigourney Weaver, opened on Monday November 12 was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, January 13.
