Actors David Sajewich, in the role of George Bailey, and Allison Sill in the role of his wife Mary, lead the cast of Theatre at the Center's A Wonderful Life: The Musical with James Harms as Mr. Potter, David Perkovich as Clarence, Jim Heatherly as Uncle Billy and Jason Richards as Mr. Martini. Portland's Good Theater is closing, what has been a highly adventurous and challenging fourteenth season, with a triumphant production of Act One, James Lapine's play based on the autobiography of Moss Hart. This nostalgic, subtly comic, and warmly touching work tells the story of a young Hart, learning to navigate the complex currents of writing a Broadway show in the 1930s. Told by two narrators, Lapine's play brings to life not only the Hart-George S. Kaufmann partnership, but a host of other colorful historical characters who helped to shape this golden age of the stage.

Fox Valley Repertory opens their 2015 theater series with Douglas J. Cohen's musical game of cat and mouse, No Way To Treat a Lady. Raue Center for the Arts in association with Williams Street Repertory has announced that it will be mounting the Chicago Premiere of " SUDS: The Rockin' 60's Musical " This is to be the first of three Chicago premieres Raue Center's in-house company will be putting up in its 2014/2015 Season. SUDS will run through July, opening on July 11. Complete run dates are as follows: July 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26 at 8p and July 13, 19 and 27 at 3p.

Acorn Productions, a non-profit theater company based in the Dana Warp Mill in downtown Westbrook, produces the company's fourth Jewish-themed holiday production this December in the Acorn Studio Theater. Acorn's founder and Board member Michael Levine wrote the script, which takes a humorous look at a very common dilemma faced by modern couples: how to reconcile a fast-paced twenty-first century life with spiritual needs. Charlene and David lead a fast-paced urban lifestyle that leaves little room for their spiritual life.
