New York Musical Theatre Festival's Next Broadway Sensation, formerly known as Broadway Idol, returns for 2008. The top ten finalists are Frances Bordlee, Joe Enderson, Shawna M. Angels, a new musical based on Milton's epic poem, Paradise Lost, will premiere on Broadway during the 2008-9 season. Written by the new Australian team of Ken Lai (book, music and lyrics) and Marcus Cheong (book and lyrics), Angels will feature a cast of 24, including Robert Cuccioli, Jessica Grové and Nicholas Rodriguez, in the leading roles. The musical will be directed by Rich Fowler.

Three finalists - Auri Marcus, George Psomas and Isabel Santiago - will compete for the title and their very own Ars Nova concert in the final round of NYMF's 'Broadway Idol' this Friday, October 5.
