BWW Reviews: Seattle Rep's THE SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS … Too … Much … Laughing … Can't Breathe!

(Sputter, gasp wheeze) There, I can breathe again. So you know when you go to a show and there's that one actor on stage who is so good, so funny, that the show and the other actors just kind of revolve around them like some theatrical sun warming all in its orbit? OK, now imagine an entire stage filled with that actor and you'll have the Seattle Rep's current production of "The Servant of Two Masters" which kicks off their 51st season not with a bang but with a hearty belly laugh that lasts for two and a half hours.

Berkeley Rep Awards Fellowships to 16 Artists

Today Berkeley Repertory Theatre announces that 16 young professionals - including seven California natives - have been awarded fellowships for the 2013-14 season. Each year, the brightest and best young minds from across the country are selected through a rigorous application process to take part in Berkeley Rep's Fellowship program. This prestigious training program provides hands-on practical experience with educational seminars that offers insight into the operation and inner workings of an award-winning theatre.

Seattle Rep Announces Full 2013-2014 Season

Seattle Repertory Theatre's full 2013-2014 season was announced today by Artistic Director Jerry Manning. The new season features three world premieres by Northwest writers, two Broadway hits, and the addition of an American classic into the theatre's repertoire. The season will run from September 2013-June 2014.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre Will Open Its Season With VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE

Today, Berkeley Repertory Theatre revealed the seventh show selected for its upcoming season. The Tony Award-winning nonprofit will begin its 46th year of smart and adventurous shows with Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, the hilarious Broadway hit from three-time Obie Award-winner Christopher Durang. Respected director Richard E.T. White returns to the Bay Area to stage this hugely popular show in September.

Yale Rep Announces 2013-14 Season, Including Billie Joe Armstrong's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING Musical

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director), dedicated to the production of new plays and bold interpretations of classics that make immediate connections to contemporary audiences, announces its 2013-14 season, which will begin with A Streetcar Named Desire, the Pulitzer Prize winning masterwork by Tennessee Williams, directed by Mark Rucker. OBIE Award winning resident director Evan Yionoulis will mark her thirteenth production at Yale Rep with Owners, the dark comedy by Caryl Churchill. Director Christopher Bayes and actor Steven Epp return for Accidental Death of an Anarchist by Nobel Prize winner Dario Fo.

Guthrie Theater Offers First-Ever 'Tweet Seats', Beginning Tonight at THE SERVANT OF TWO MASTERS

The Guthrie Theater today announced that beginning tonight, December 27, the theater will offer its first-ever 'Tweet Seats' during four consecutive Thursday performances of The Servant of Two Masters, allowing social media users an opportunity to interact during the show. A limited number of seats located in a balcony level of the McGuire Proscenium in a section that will not be disruptive to other patrons will be designated as Tweet Seats. Tweet Seat tickets are $15 and are available by calling the Guthrie Box Office at 612.377.2224, and mentioning 'Tweet.' Tickets are not available online, with other offers, or on previously purchased tickets. Handing fees may apply.
