The 2024 Manhattan Power Women Awards celebrated the remarkable achievements of Bevin Ross, Executive Director of The Drama League, and Violeta Galagarza, the visionary force behind Keep Rising To The Top (K.R.3Ts).
The Bronx Museum of the Arts is pleased to present the exhibition by Afro-Cuban artist Manuel Mendive: Nature, Spirit, and Body. Mendive has developed a sophisticated and pointed examination of the influence of African oral-based traditions on Cuba through the experimental lens of contemporary art. His multidisciplinary work, ranging from sculpture to painting to performance, has become a vehicle for exploring the intersections between art, religion, philosophy, politics, ethics, and anthropology.

El Museo del Barrio will celebrate its 36th Annual Three Kings Day Parade on Friday, January 4, 2013, at 10:30am. The time-honored holiday procession will include Honorary Kings, Madrinas, Padrinos, thousands of school children, real camels, gigantic hand-made puppets, and performers who will bring lively music and colorful dancing to the streets of El Barrio.
